He Is Risen

As I left work this morning at 7:00 a.m. the sun was bursting into view on the eastern horizon prompting these words as the Son rose in my heart:

Jesus is risen, the angels announced it,

Jesus is risen, He's no longer dead;

Jesus is risen, redemption completed,

Jesus is risen, the glad tidings spread!

Jesus is risen, death has been conquered,

Jesus is risen, our soon-coming King;

Jesus is risen, new life He has given,

Jesus is risen, His praises now sing!

Dear friends...we serve a risen Savior! He is alive for evermore!

HALLELUJAH!

  1. Yes He deserves all of our praises Pilgrim David!!

    Majestic sweetness sits enthroned
    Upon the Savior's brow;
    His head with radiant glories crowned,
    His lips with grace o'erflow.

    No mortal can with Him compare
    Among the sons of men;
    Fairer is He than all the fair
    That fill the heavenly train.

    To Him I owe my life and breath,
    And all the joys I have;
    He makes me triumph over death,
    And saves me from the grave.

    To God, the Father, my abode,
    He brings my weary feet;
    Shows me the glories of my God,
    And makes my joys complete.

    Since from His bounty I receive
    Such proofs of love divine,
    Had I a thousand hearts to give,
    Lord, they should all be Thine.

  4. Pilgrim,

    I love the photo! Perfect for the occasion!

    LauraMae, I am sooo glad to see you over here! Did those threats from Pilgrim work? Are you scared of that wet noodle?! And, would you believe that I thought of those same words you wrote there, when I saw that photo. ;) I hope you stay around, LauraMae, I've missed you lately.

    Love and Prayers,
    LPP
