Dear Friends:
As you have noticed I have not posted here on Pilgrim Pals regularly for quite some time. My creative writing skills have dried up temporarily and it's been hard to articulate my thoughts as I battle this severe depression that has beset me over the past year.
I value your prayers as I seek to get well again. We are trusting God to guide us to the proper treatment facility and we now see a possible source of help on the horizon.
Thank you for standing with me and my family during this very difficult season of my life.
The Lord continues to uphold us with His strong, righteous right hand.
In His Great Love,
David
The Pilgrim

we continue to pray for you and Carol ... we pray that out of the darkness, God's light will shine that much brighter ... and it will, please just hold on to what is real, David ... and God's love for you is REAL, more real than anything you may be feeling now ... more real than the adversity you've encountered recently ... we pray for you daily ...
dear pilgrim... i am sure that you sing this quite often at the chapel where you attend. i think the words to this song have been such a comfort to many a weary and depressed christian.
of course we are all still praying for you...we love you and your family...love terry
1. With a steady pace the pilgrim moves
Towards the blissful shore,
And sings with
cheerful heart and voice,
“‘Tis better on before.”
2. His passage through a desert lies
Where furious lions roar;
He takes his staff, and,
smiling, says,
“‘Tis better on before.”
3. When tempted to forsake his God,
And give the contest o’er,
He hears a voice
which says, “Look up!
‘Tis better on before.”
4. When stern affliction
clouds his cheek,
And want stands at the door,
Hope cheers him
with her sunniest note,
“‘Tis better on before.”
5. And if on Jordan’s bank he stands,
And sees the radiant shore,
Bright angels whisper, “Come away!
‘Tis better on before.”
6. And so it is, for high in heaven
They never suffer more;
Eternal calm succeeds the storm;
“‘Tis better on before.”
Just one more greeting from across the sea inspired by Terry.
Psalm 40
For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.
1 I waited patiently for the LORD;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the LORD.
May this day soon come for Pilgrim Father David to sing this
new song for his fellow Pilgrims, dear Lord. Place in his mouth a new song.
Amen
