happy belated birthday dear pilgrim pal julie

little missionary julie or little big missionary julie,as felisol calls her, has been a beloved pilgrim pal since a few weeks after david fisher created the pilgrim pals blog in 2007.
one evening without warning she popped into our lives and our lives haven't been the same since!
she is an ottawa girl who loves the spanish speaking people and who has often used her work holidays to visit mexico and be a missionary. this has always been the burning desire of her heart ....to be a missionary.
following is a post that little missionary julie wrote for the pilgrim pals encouragement one day.

"When I woke up this morning I was faced with a choice - to go to church or laze around the apartment. Being single, I often do not feel accountable to get up and get going. Hey, after all, I thought, it's a beautiful, sunny day - why not go to the beach or just sit on my balcony and read the Bible and other Christian literature. God wouldn't mind - He knows I love Him! I'll honor him with my prayers and worship at home. Then something occurred to me - corporate worship is powerful and brings honour to God. So, off I went to church and it was a beautiful time of worship - the power of corporate praise - wow!! Can't wait until we get home - to Heaven and sing His praises forever.....Holy, Holy, Holy - worthy is the Lamb!"

now the little guy in this picture is his mama's pride and joy and when he, alfie her bunny heard about his mama's birthday, he immediately got a gang of his ottawa friends together to go to her birthday party where ever that was, eh?
he even wore his fancy mexican hat!
this bunny was ready to party..

now it was pilgrim david that blew the whistle this time.
i am late, as you can see but i guess better late than never, wishing this dear special girl a happy

birthday!

this, written by david sums up what we all think about julie and how we pray for her,

Missionary To Mexico...Our Own Julie
Dear Pilgrim Pals:

One of our own left early this morning to serve the Lord in Mexico on a short-term basis. Our Little Missionary, Julie, will be helping out at an orphanage and sharing the love of Jesus with everyone she meets.
Let's commit to pray for Julie every day! Let's make sure she is covered by God's protection so that Satan, that thief and liar, won't be able to touch God's anointed.
Thank you for standing with Julie! Pray that this trip will strengthen her faith and that God will use her in a powerful way to touch the lives of others.
THANKS SO MUCH!
The Pilgrim, David

Dear Terry,
thanks for this tribute to one of the most important member of the Pilgrim Pals; Julie Little Big Missionary.
She is a constant reminder of the words of Paul 2 Chor 12:
The Thorn in the Flesh

7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

That we all must be strong in the Lord.
Let's stick together never stop praising the Lord for keeping his promises and using us, the weak and fragile to be strong in and for him.

dearest felisol,
you are such an encouragement to us all and the lord will truly reward this.
you are so right about the little or as you call her little big missionary.
she has been a good pilgrim ever since we first met her.
when i was scanning the pilgrim pals looking for pictures of little missionary, i came across a post that she had written especially for dad golden and read her prayer there for him
i know that even when she has been so low in spirit, when she had heard of a need of any of the pals, she is often the first one to comment.
oh felisol...as i scanned those many posts , it just grieves my heart that the blog is so inactive.
isn't that what pilgrim pals was all about..prayer and supplications and even fun times between all of the pals?
i thank god that you and amrita and vicki and little missionary are still there whenever i have needed your advice and your prayers...love terry

Dear Terry,
we know by experience that there is an Divine strength in Christian fellowship.
We also know the evil forces whose single goal it is, to divide and tear apart.

I n my 60th year I still am a child in Christian affairs.
When times are good, I thin I can manage on my own. When times are rough I cling to God, crying and craving.
It shouldn't have to be like this.

I should come willingly whenever I have an opportunity.
Constance said it so well;"We pray for what we WANT, but God we ask You to give us what we NEED!

I've found a deep, lasting peace in those words, and repeat the prayer daily.
God bless us all; Terry & Bernie, Mom and Dad Golden, Julie LBM, the Montreal sisters, Donna, Vicki & Richard, Saija & Leo, Maria, David & his family, Dear Passing-thru and his family, Mr. & Mrs. Jim, the other Julia, Sara & her family, my Norwegian family, Mrs. Mac and hers, Pilot Mom and hers, Sioux Sue and hers.

Oh Lord give each and everyone exactly what he/she need.
Amen.
Amen.

Oh, Lord,
Thank you for reminding me special of Amrita and her mother.
You know we can hardly imagine the circumstances they are serving you under.
Bless them, bless the Christians of India, bless India, the nation.

Happy belated birthday to our dear Julie, the Lord's beloved. Hope you got my "facebook" wishes the other day:-)

Felisol, thank you for your kind, wise, and compassionate words here. Also thank you for the prayers for us.

Richard had his 60th birthday on May 8th. Today we heard he will be tentatively scheduled for prostate removal on June 18th, but first needs one more precedure (a cysto).

God bless the Pilgrim Pals!
