Spanish Lessons

Hi everyone, sorry it's been so long. I've been doing pretty well these days. During this past winter I decided it was time to take private Spanish speaking lessons since I always seem to be going on mission to a Latin American country. So, I did a google search for a teacher in my area and randomly picked one of the female instructors out of dozens of names. This seemed risky...afterall there are lots of "kooks" out there. However, I prayed for God's direction. Last Thursday I went for my first lesson. As I drove to her home I realized I hadn't told any friends about this....what she was some crazy person? No one would no where I disappeared too (okay, I watch too much CSI and Law & Order). Anway, I prayed for God's protection. Turns out my instructor is really nice....and get this....she is a Believer!! What are the chances that I would "randomly" pick a teacher who follows the Lord Jesus! That could only be arranged by God!
Please pray that I get a better grasp of the Spanish language so I can serve more effectively on the mission field God sends me too in the future!

Dear Julie LBM,
I have wonder how you were. Last night before going to bed, I had a talk with our Lord, telling I wanted to hear from you. And wakening up some hours later; there you are.
He is not late in answering our calls.
So wonderful to learn that you are being blessed and taken care of in a wonderful way.
I tried to learn Spanish once. The verbs in past tense were giving me some troubles!
One lesson and one step at a time will do it.
I'm aging. Have reached the biography age. The story of a Norwegian missionary who went to China a hundred years ago never stops fascinating me.
She was shipped over to England to learn some English. Mandarin she was supposed to pick up on the boat trip to China.
Life was never easy for her, she had to wander through a valley of trials.
But God gave victory.
He will do the same for you.

dear little missionary julie.
i read your good post monday and i am sorry i did not get time to get back here. we got back a little late from hamilton.
i am so happy that you are taking spanish lessons.
i took three levels of it in niagara college, just so i would be able to talk to some elderly spanish people that i know.
the older ones always get so upset when they can't communicate.
it is much more difficult for them to learn english.
just imagine, eh, that your teacher is a christian...oh that is almost like a miracle
i think of you so much and it was really nice to hear your voice again...love terry
