dearest david...when i read this sad post and i saw that tree which i believe i took a picture of at the home where i looked after an elderly lady, my heart hurt.
do you remember how betty and i were treated so badly almost three years ago and that we both lost our jobs?
i thought the world had come to an end because we had been accused of stealing and treating the lady roughly.
they were all lies of course.
looking back on that, david i can clearly see that it was all of the lord but at the time i really didn't!
don't worry david everybody who loves you is truly praying for you and things will get better, you'll see!...love terry
ps david. i really like the way that felisol quoted this verse once.
"i will never leave thee nor forsake thee."
"thee forsake nor thee leave never will i."
just beautiful en pilgrim david?
one big unending circle of being in gods arms!
no detachment there!
I am truly sorry when my fellow Pilgrims feel broken.
Then again, I think; well, I'm not alone here either. My best friends in prayer and endurance have been where I am, have been through the dark valleys where the sun doesn't seem to exist.
And somehow I find comfort in that as well.
I'm not the only who feel Good forsaken.
And we all can witness that till this day the Lord has kept his word.
We must humbly affirm, His promises have proven valid till today.
"Yesterday is gone, tomorrow may never come, but today the Lord will help us."
Just this wonderful, promising midsummer morning I'll take time to praise the Lord.
For leading us through muddy waters and over steep mountain cliffs.
I thank you for my friends, Pilgrim Father David, my bestest sister Terry, for passing-thru Bob who stood by me in my time of deepest need, for Julie, the brave fighting Little Big Missionary, for the wonderful Montreal Sisters, for Vicki, so much love and care to share, midst in her concern for her husband Richard, for Donna with her own prayer site as well, for mild Saija and her Leo, being crippled in the severest of chronic pains, and even so sharing God's promises and enjoying His word of love, for Saija's sister Maria miraculously home after moths in hospital, saved by God, for Pilot Mom and Dad, whom you helped so miraculously last year, For the mourning widows Liv and Diane, you shall strengthen and comfort them through their loss, for my prayerchildren Serina and Dad Golden; oh, Jesus only you know their heart's pains and how to individually lead them to the water of rest,
I thank you for family friend Alexander who almost was knocking on Heaven's Door two weeks ago, with an infected, fractured brain scull. Oh, we owe thee great thank and praise, for grandpaw Ron and his girls, Jesus, you have stood by through rough times and made them good, for young Nathan, let this summer do him good, protect him, please, For Amrita the Indian cliff of strength and fidelity, struggling hard to keep her family and church afloat, for Amrita's sister, and mother, fr my mother and Mom Golden. They are all heroes now in need of loving care and extra time.
Dear Lord, I praise you for leading us even through the Red Sea and over on dry land.
Amen
From Felisol
PS Please , dear Jesus, take care of Justin, his wife and daughters both what finances and health and safety are concerned.

we are all in this together!!!
Dear David, I hope this scripture speaks to your heart.
"The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came upon me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow. The I called on the name of the Lord: "O Lord save me!" The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The Lord protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me. Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you. For you O Lord, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living...." taken from Ps. 116
I love the fact that King David poured out his heart and shared his anguish with the Lord. I think many Christians think because we are saved we will never feel depressed and overwhelmed with life's challenges. That is dangerous teaching - so I hope you are not feeling guilty about that - I sure did. Also, and I know you know this, but I'm going to remind you anyway: we have a nasty enemy and he and his minions will observe your distress and plant negative thoughts to further overwhelm you. I speak from experience of falling for his traps, and became more and more convinced of my worthlessness! You are precious in God's sight and I'm praying right now that you have His grace to fight through the nasty thoughts that might be going on in your mind.
"The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear?" Ps. 27 vs 1
David, please let us know how you are doing - even if you are NOT doing well - don't be ashamed of asking us for prayer! Tell Satan to take a hike; you belong to Jesus!
Julie
