Jesus, Yo Confio En Ti

"Jesus I trust in You." These are words I often say in my heart - it is difficult to say in the moments when I'm unsure I can trust Him with my entire life. I've been reading a book call "Telling Yourself the Truth" by William Backus & Marie Chapian. Basically, it addresses what the author's call "misbeliefs" that we buy into whether planted by the father of lies himself (the devil) or lies people told us when we were growing up....ultimately the enemy reinforces those lies and tries to paralyse us in our faith walk. I'm really enjoying the book and realizing once again that I (we) have been given a sound mind - the mind of Christ and so we aren't even conscious of the fact that we've put on the mind of the enemy - boy have I ever done that in the past 3 years....but no more....I'm onto the enemy's schemes and I'm taking my thoughts captive to my Lord... Jesus - I DO trust in you! How about you, Pilgrims? Are you aware of your negative thoughts? Do you put yourself down? Stop - you are a child of the Almighty - take those thoughts to the Light of Christ and let Him expose the enemy's lies.

Dear Julie, LBM,
My faith is not that strong.
I often find my self asking why and how.
But He has placed my feet upon a rock,
and He is hiding me in his hut on evil days.
What other option is there?
I say with Peter:
John 6:
68Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God."

Julie,

Okay, I have not been on Pilgrim Pals in ages...and this post is exactly what i needed to hear...not as though it is breaking news to me as my close friend just gave me the same message earlier today; well, same theme, different wording ;) Thank you so much for your contribution to Pals...you are special!

God bless you richly,
LPP

PS
Do you know a place called Camp Bitobi? It's somewhere north of Ottawa I think I was told...my youth group is going there soon.
