On My Way

On my way to visit a shut-in aunt I passed by a temple dedicated to the godman Sai Baba.Its a newly built place, very modern and richly decorated.Hundreds of people throng the temple seeking miracles at the feet of this dead saint. They are from every walk of life the rich and poor, highly literate and modern wearing western clothes and costly jewellery and the poor, illiterate. But every one is seeking for answers. Looking for miracles. Offering gifts to the spirit of this dead man and wishing he will answer their prayers.Outside the temple the street is crowded with hawkers selling articles of worship. Flower garlands, incense sticks, holy offerings, fruit, earthen pots and all sorts of things.The air is heavy with incense smoke. The road is jammed with cars, scooters, motorcycles, rickshaws and bicycles.Everyone wants to pay obeisance to the image of the miracle worker.Sai Baba is worshipped all over India and the world.As I passed by I said a prayer for all the people thronging the temple precincts. Lord open their eyes to see the TRUTH. May their disappointment and hunger deepen so that they may start searching for THE WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE. And find Him.

Dear Amtrita,
What better prayer could you have sent up to the Lord than this one that you have?!
And we must join you and be praying the same for these dear people that God will save them.
He is certainly the way and the truth and the LIFE that they so need!
Love Terry

Praying for the people in your country, Amrita, that the Lord would reveal truth to the seekers, that He would send His Word, and hungry hearts would finally be fed with the Bread of Life. Thanking Him for your sweet spirit, Amrita. {{hugs}}
