Prayer Request From Susan Bunts

Our Pilgrim Pal Susan Bunts (pictured) posted this prayer request on her church's web site. Please pray for Susan and her mother.

Susan writes:

"Please pray for my mother, Gayle. She's 86 years old, has Alzheimer's and today she fell and cut her head while trying to climb a wall. The cut is very large and right where a couple of arteries come together. She lost a lot of blood and has a lot of staples in her head. Please pray that her wound will heal without any complications and the pain will be manageable. She will have a couple of follow-up appointments. Also pray the staff will be diligent in keeping and eye on her and that she won't try to have any more adventures. Thank you!"

Thanks for praying! ~ the Pilgrim

Thanks so much David! Appreciate you requesting prayers for mom. She's doing okay. She's 86 years old and has Alzheimer's. More and more she's loosing her verbal abilities. She was diagnosed 6 years ago...and continues to go downhill.

Amazingly enough this 86 year old woman who can't form a sentence that makes sense...managed to try and scale wall in the patio are where she's at...thus sustaining the injury to her head. When I got to the hospital..my sister was already there...and mom was sitting in bed with lots of blood still in her hear and the biggest smile...like the cat who ate the canary.

I'm sure her head hurts...but she wouldn't be able to say, "Can I have an aspirin.

Thanks so much for your prayers!

Blessings David!

Aw, poor sweetie...I hate that she gashed her head so bad, but thankful no bones were broken. I'll certainly be praying for Momma Gayle's healing and that the staff will keep a good watch over here. Keep us posted, Susan. Hope you're doing all right.

Thanks, David for letting us know!

David, Terry, Vicki and all...thanks so much for your prayers. Our God is merciful. I went to see my mom today...and she seemed to be doing okay. The nurses at her residence said today was the first day she seemed to have more energy and was quite chipper. She will likely have the staples out of her head on Friday, if things go according to plan.

Lord's blessings to you. Terry...praying for your mom and dad. I continue to hope and pray for that day when we have the wonderful news that we are welcoming a new brother in Christ to the kingdom.

David...we have new Pastor, Philip De Courcy. He is a magnificent preacher. Preaches the word of God uncompromisingly. Pastor Chuck Obremski would be proud...it will be a wonderful day in heaven...when those two meet. They are redesigning our church website...and will soon post all of Chuck messages and Philip's messages. Be sure to get the message he did on communion. It was called "Remembering What It's About". Today's message just about knocked our socks off. We are soooooooo blessed by God. He's given us fantastic preacher, who preach the word of God and he kept us together as a body of Christ. Now we pray he will continue to grow us in character and number reach the world with the word!
