What a Blessing the Pals Are!

Thank you all so much for your responses to my last posting. I am blessed by each and every comment! Thank you Pilgrim David for your posting and for bringing us a forum where we can be vulnerable and pray for one another in our struggles.

I am convinced that it was not Todd that sat across from me and smiled in an almost mocking way. For our battle is not against flesh and blood - we know that it is the powers of darkness. When this truly hit me tonight I realized I can't abandon Todd to the enemy! Even in my saddness and discouragement I must continue to pray by the grace of God! It is my calling right now - my duty even - to pray for Todd to be released from darkness! This realization along with your comments and encouragement causes me to renew my determination to pray for Todd's salvation and others like him, (Dad Golden!!).

Well my friends, it was a long week - lots of ups and downs - between hunting for a condominum, making and offer and loosing out; Todd's rejection of God, and feeling tense in the workplace (that post is for another time) -- I'm very tired - time for bed.

God bless each of you. I will remember you all in my prayers tonight - for those who are ill and those who have family members who are ill - for all the other needs and desires each of us have - I place them now at the most Holy feet of Jesus - Our Lord, Master, Brother, Friend and Saviour! Thank you Father God for being so patient with your children (especially me :)

Thanks Terry....what a faithful friend to Jesus you are! I'm still praying for your dad....sometimes it's so much easier to pray for those we don't know.

Love you sister.

Glad for your post, Julie. Indeed, it's easier to pray for those we don't know sometimes. Hang in there. Thankfully, we don't have to understand God's ways to trust Him. But we know He's faithful, and His desire for Todd's heart is even greater than all ours put together!

Hope you're resting up this weekend.
Love & blessings,

Vicki

Dear Julie,
thank you for praying even though you are worn and disappointed to the utmost.
I know you have been praying for me and my family even though you didn't need to. You have done it from a willing and loving heart.
Only comfort is that it's easier to fall on bended knees when our burden is heavy.
Please continue praying for me and my family, I do so appreciate your efforts.
I'll go on to remind the Lord of his promises both for you and Todd.
That way we are fulfilling Paul's command about "carry each other's burdens."
May God grant us all a blessed Sunday.
From Felisol

Hi, Little Missionary,

Since I read your posts yesterday I've tried to comment a few times, but each time have been interrupted. Hopefully this time you'll be able to read my note ;)

I just want tolet you know I'm prayign for you, and for Todd...and NEVER GIVE UP! I don't know if you've gotten to see the amzing movie, "Facing the Giants" yet...we watched it today for the 1st time. There was a line there that really struck me that I thoght might encourage you, too. The guy said, "There were 2 farmers. Each prayed for rain. One went out and prepared the field for the rain. Which do you think trusted God more?" Prepare the field for the rain, Julie...it's coming! ;)

Love and Prayers,
LPP
