From Barry And Amber

Hi, this is Barry and Arlene's daughter Amber. My Dad and I decided tonight that it is time to let you all know the state of my Mothers condition. She is at Oakwood Hospital
in Dearborn. I am sure you are aware she has cancer. Her health is failing quickly as the tumors are growing at a rapid speed. Her heart is working overtime to pump the fluid in her body which is causing her to swell severely. She is struggling to breathe as the tumor in her lungs is blocking her airway. We had a consultation with Hospice last night and their service wasn't able to keep her in the hospital as requested by her doctor. He then offered to provide final care in her room which means they will no longer offer her life sustaining medication or take her vital signs. They are making every effort to keep her comfortable. She is very sedated and sleeping peacefully. According to her doctor she has about a week until she goes home to be with the Lord. Please pray for our family and feel free to email any questions or comments you have.

Due to the sudden change in her health it is impossible to contact everyone personally therefore we are sending out this email. Please send this to anyone who may have been overlooked.

Thank You,
Amber

Dear Amber,
I am praying for the Lord to take care of you and your family through these horrible, following days.
I'm begging him to bless you with his peace that supersedes human understandng.
For your mother Arlene I pray that Jesus will embrace her and lift her up to eternal glory.
Numbers 6
24The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

25The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

26The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

Dear Amber,
I was praying last night with a group of ladies - we prayed for two of our close friends who also have cancer and then we lifted to the Lord anyone else who is suffering from cancer, or any terminal illness. Rest assure that the Lord knows all and embraces you mother, Arlene. Thank you for sharing this will us. May our God of all mercy and comfort be with you today and everyday!

Love,
Julie (LM)

I'm praying, too...my client's mom just died of lung cancer that had metasticised to her brain, on January 27th. Her mom went into the hospital on a Monday with breathing problems and was found to have a blood clot in her lungs...she died the following Sunday at 2 am, peacefully, withher daughter's mother-in-law by her side (isn't that a beautiful picture of family devotion?! I loved it when she told me that!). I don't think I've quite gotten over her death yet.

Love and Prayers,
LPP

Words fail...but our Lord does not. Praying...in Christ alone.
