LPP - Lots of Purposeful Prayers

Our dear friend and prayer partner LPP needs our fervent prayers tonight and tomorrow. Let's be sure to lift LPP and prayingsensfaninmontreal before the Father in the hours ahead. They need the gracious touch of our loving Father.

This is what Pilgrim Pals is all about...praying for each other during times of crisis.

THANK YOU!

I've had a hard afternoon...after running around like crazy getting take-out (a real treat!) and groceries and informing people...i finally got a collage finished to print at staples only to find out the new manager is very cold-hearted and says he needs 8hrs to print a half-hour job! I restrained myself in the store but once i got to the car I cried with my friend!!! All that work, all that time, I am stressed and worn out, and that is what I get! :( Life is tough sometimes!!

Love and Prayers,
LPP

Dearest Little Pilgrim Pal and Little Montreal Girl...It seems that even though you are many miles away you are still close in our hearts. There will be prayer around the clock for you and the rest of the family as while it is night here it will be daytime at Mrs. Ljungs's, Amrita's and Rodneys...
Praying for you....Love Mrs. Shirkie

Dear Little Pilgrim Pal and Montreal Girl,
Early morning in Norway, but I had to pop in at the Pilgrims to see how you are.
I shall be keeping on praying,, never stop reminding the Lord of his promises.

"Entrusted to God"

"Take care that you put all your dear ones into God's hand.
You have put your own soul there, put their souls and bodies likewise into His custody. You can trust Him for 'temporals' for
yourself, trust your 'jewels' with Him. Feel that they are not your own, but that they are God's loans to you -- loans which are called back at any moment. Your possessions are never so safe as when you are willing to resign them, and you are never so rich
as when you put all you have into the hand of the Lord.

You shall find it greatly mitigates the sorrow of bereavements,
if before bereavement you shall have learned to surrender every
day all the things which are dearest to you into the keeping of
your gracious God."

Dear Little Pilgrim Pal and Little Montreal Girl...As you are all together at the home now with your friends and family and dad we are thinking of you and praying for you. The Lord is there and He will be the biggest comfort. And just maybe as Mr. Jim mentioned there will be a dear one saved as they hear God's word.

Ecclesiastes 7:2
It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart.

Take care little ones...love Mrs.. Shirkie

Dear LPP & LMG (and family),

You were in my thoughts & prayers, today. These are not easy times for you, but trust in the Lord - He will meet your needs.

May God Bless you now & forever!

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

Revelation 21:4

"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Phillipians 4:7

Thank you very much dear Pals for all your kind words!

We had the biggest surprise and blessing today...Mr. Mackay and Mrs. Butler came to the memorial service and talked with us during the reception! They are the nicest people I've ever met---I was telling everyone how Mrs. Butler drove so far to come to my dad's funeral and she didn't even know me :)

God bless each of you Pals richly and I'm sure one day we'll all meet like I met with these two today! Mrs. Butler was there representing all the Pals and I appreciate your representative there ;) Mr. Mackay sat down with my brothers and talked with them and that meant the world to me! Oh, yes, I got to talk to him, too! We all laughed so hard, you'd never guess it was a FUNERAL of all events ;)

Love and Prayers,
LPP for the whole family

Oh Little Pilgrim Pal....How nice to hear your sweet voice!
You know what a chatter box I am. It took all the strength I could muster to NOT tell you about the surprise that Paul and Mrs. Butler had in store for you. I just had to make sure I prayed for their travelling safety, so that kept me busy!
Mrs. Butler had sworn me to secrecy!!! NOT a good point with me but I did it!!!. All day I was looking at my watch and just imagining them being there with you and hoping that Mrs. Butler would give you the Shirkie hugs that I asked her to give out!!
I hope you have a well deserved rest little one. Give Little Montreal girl a kiss for me....Love Mrs. Shirkie!

LPP- just letting you know that, like all the other Pals, I am keeping you and your family in my prayers. My heart goes out to you- I wish I could have been there in person to give you a hug! I'm sorry I wasn't able to make the memorial service- I haven't visited Pilgrim Pals in a few days, so I missed hearing about it until it was too late. Let me know if there's anything I can do.
Keeping you in my prayers dear friend!

PASSING-THRU! I nearly fell out of my chair! Mrs. Butler and I were just talki ng yesterday about how much we miss u!! :) Thank you soooo much for coming over here and leaving us a kind comment like that!

Lauren-Mary,
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I was hoping you would be able to go there yesterday, but I knew whoever came would be God's Will...Mrs. Butler will just have to share her footage of the event by e-mail with you. Actually my aunt got most of it on video, which is great. My sister taped me singing, and I told my sis we both sound better on tape than we did there, because I had a lump in my throat and was ready to cry any second while I sang, and she sounded like she would cry, too, while she sang her two songs.

Mrs. Shirkie,

We wouldn't have even thought to ask you if they were coming...my brother just kept commenting on Mr. mackay's blog to see if he was there or would respond and when we didn't get an asnwer we were sure they were coming. Funniest thing though---Mrs. Butler might have sworn you to secrecy, but when I got up that morning, I had the peace of God, and I felt the Holy Spirit telling me they would be there, but I didn't want to get my hoped up that high, so I wasn't really prepared when I saw her standing there!!!

Oh, did we have fun....we forgot it was a funeral ;)

Love and Prayers to all of you,
LPP

LPP...I must correct you...you and your sister were magnificnet!!!

I got your message..and now have to apologize...I took his name off of the write-up sent to Mr. Mackay...plese tell him I am sorry and hope he wasn't offended...I won't feel so bad if Mr. Mackay made the same mistake HA...what are the chances of that!!!!!

Anonymous said...

You both did make the same mistake, Mrs. Butler...both cards had the fourth child's name as the first part of his compound name...that's okay! ;)
