Have a Blessed Easter

I've decided to come out from "hiding" and wish everyone a wonderful Easter - celebrate Jesus! I have been really busy lately. Everything finally got settled with the financing for my new condo, which I move to in June. What a blessing from God. I can hardly believe it. If you had asked me a year ago if I would even consider buying I would have said you are crazy! Well, sometimes God takes you on a road of blessing that does seem crazy! When the "idea" first came to my in January, I thought - no way that will happen. But, if it's God's idea and we follow Him - awesome things happen. The Lord brought me a Christian Real Estate Agent and a Christian Mortgage Broker - pretty cool eh! Thank you Heavenly Father for my new home - may it be a sanctuary for all who visit....and of course for me and my bunny :) I've already envisioned the second bedroom as my very special prayer room.

Dear Little Missionary Julie..I am so happy for you. That is going to be one exciting day when you are in your new home. You must post a picture of it! When Saija and Leo got their new home a couple of years ago, we had a house warming party for her at David's "Pilgrim Scribblings" blog. it was really cool!
We will have to have one for you and Noah too...

Have a blessed Easter yourself little Missionary...Love Terry

Dear LM Julie,
congratulations with your new home.
I'm so looking forward to "visiting".
Maybe you have a picture already?
Indeed you are a good role model, sharing both your sorrows activities and your blessings.
May God bless you richly during Pass Over.

LM,

I am so glad to hear of the Lord's faithfulness to you. May you continue to rest in His love and Peace!

Mrs. Shirkie,

Aw, I missed out on that first party...that was before my time!

Mrs. Ljung,

Passover isn't for another month. I am very upset that because of some rules made over 300 years after Christ's death, we have to time Resurrection Sunday according to the Spring equinox and the Feast of Ishtar, rather than Passover as originally stated in the Bible. I did not send out any Resurrection Day greetings as a result...I was too perturbed over it. I also get a little upset when I hear pastors and theologians use the word Easter in descibing Christ's Resurrection. Lay people are excuse because most don't know what that word means...I didn't know until last year, when I was told that Easter is Ishtar (also Esther!) which is the goddess of fertility, and refers to the Feast of that goddess, symblized by, amoung other things, eggs! Does that sound familiar?!

Now I am sure everyone thinks I am a radical, so I will step off my soapbox, but I really do feel much better for having vented! I am just so happy that the Orthodox Christians in my neighborhood don't celebrate Christ's resurrection for another month.

Oh, if anyone is interested, I also learned last year the answer to my question all my life about the timing of Jesus' 3 days in the grave, and why Friday at 3Pm -Sunday early morning is accepted as 3 days. But I won't share that unless prompted so I don't upset anyone!

God bless you all!

Love and Prayers,
LPP

Ah Little Pilgrim...I am not one much for history and dates and such but this ONE thing I know that the Lord Jesus died for my sins on the cross and rose three days later!! Went back to heaven where He will return to get us soon..What a blessed hope this is!!
Have a joyous Easter little pal.....Love Mrs. Shirkie

What sweet news! Excited for you, Julie! PTL! Dos hare some photos when you get a chance.

LPP, I wouldn't let it upset me too much. We know in our hearts that we celebrate the risen Lord, and why, and that is enough for me. I could barely contain my joy yesterday for the Resurrection of Christ is what we base our hope on. He is alive! And that's all that matters to me!
