Sick

Hi Pals,

I'm quite sick and in need of your prayers. I really sick about the Senators losing to the Habs (Montreal) tonight!! But besides that, I am sick with a second bout of bronchitis - this seems much worse than last January. I spiked a fever earlier tonight and just generally feel terrible. I'm on an antibiotic so I hope it, along with your prayers will bring about a quick healing. Why the urgency? I was invited to a job interview this Thursday (it's an internal position within the City), and it couldn't be worse timing for me to be this sick! However, God's will be done. If I am not well enough to go, I'll have to trust God in this situation.

"Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up." James 5:14-15

Since you are not here to anoint me with oil....I'll anoint myself :)

Dear Julie LM,
I'll pay for you in conviction that his promises are just like you described them to be!
Looking forward to hearing about the results of your interview Thursday.
You're for certain not going there alone.

Dear Little Missionary, Julie...
I feel the same way as my Felisol, that you aren't alone.

Just keep taking that antibiotic and take it until it is finished. Some people don't take the whole prescription sometimes and so the infection might come back. Even if you start to feel better[which you will because we will be praying] make sure that you take it all and I am surprised that that girl on the far side of the sea did not tell you to drink lots of fluids. That is what she told me a while back and it works!

I have tried to read your blog several times but it won't open for me. Little Pilgrim has tried to. Do you still have it Little Missionary, Julie?

Will be praying for you especially this Thursday for your job interview.....Love Terry

Thanks ladies!

My temperature was on the high side last night and I just tossed and turned all night, but slept through the morning 'til noon. I feel a little bit better today. You are correct about fluids (the fever made me very thirsty) and taking all the antibiotics Terry - will do!

Re my blog....I shut it down for a while because I was so busy and distracted by buying the house and all that entails. Not sure I'll start the Blog again....not sure it's my thing.

Bless you.

Hi, Little Missionary!

I'm so sorry that you are unwell! Please do drink lots of WATER...water will help flush out the infection. Do you like garlic? That is a natural antibiotic, and you can take it along with the prescribed one--it won't affect it.

I'm sure the Habs' win made you sick...it made me sick that they squandered a 7-1 lead...Oh, sorry, I'm being just plain nasty now, aren't I? :) I really did want the Sens to win last night, honestly I did, just for my sister, but I really was thrilled when that buzzer went off. Sister can't wait 'til next week when the two teams meet again. I told Pilgrim that if the Habs play the Sens if the playoffs, y'all are going to have to kick me off of Pals...at least of off hockey posts ;) I don't think I've ever liked the Habs any other year as much as this year, and that's not good news for you Sens fans whom I usually cheer with ;)

I pray that you will feel better, and these infections won't come back anymore. Do you take any supplements? If you do, you might want to look into RM-10 by the Garden of Life. It is really pricey in Canada, to be honest, but you can get it through Health Food Emporium (online) shipped to Canada, and it is a much better price (ground shipping, though it takes a while longer). It is really good for keeping away infections and building the Immune System. I just take 3 a day, but I also take a few other supplements from Garden of Life, so that helps me, too.

Praying for a speedy recovery and a a good interview on Thursday,

Hi LPP,

Thanks so much for the supplement suggestions. I've heard garlic is good....maybe tomorrow I'll pop out and grab some. I do take 1000 mg of Vit. C during the winter but this winter I slacked off :(

Re the Habs...well, I have to say they played a real good game last night so they deserved the win. I just can't figure out what went wrong with the Sens this year - a combination of things I guess. Oh well, such is hockey...easy come, easy go. Between you and me...given the choice, I'd take the Habs any day over the Maple Leafs (boooo). Before the Sens, I wasn't a huge hockey fan but even then it was Montreal over Toronto!
Peace of our Lord.

Hi Little Missionary,

Thank you for responding to my comment...I always appreciate notes back to me :)

About the garlic, try to find Kylic garlic because it is aged (better than regular) and odorless. It is a bit pricey (about $30 for 180 caps) but is worth it compared to the other. One of my brothers just takes fresh garlic, peels it, smashes it a little to release the juices, and downs it with water! I used to do that with bread before my allergies, but now I just pop caspules/tablets when I'm under the weather. 1000mg Vitamin C is excellent, too! I wish I could just remember to take mine! Like my fish oil...it's in the fridge, my parents take it, I forever recommend it, but I can't recall the last time I took some! I guess it's just getting in the habit...that's the only way I take my supplements now is because I have some first thing in the morning, and last things at night ;)

You must be so glad that the Sens cme back last night and won! I am! Speaking of those Leafs that you mentioned...would you believe back in 2004, my sister-- PrayingSensFan-- actually wanted the Leafs to beat Ottawa in a playoff series? She did...she was the biggest Dany Heatley fan, and she was so upset when he was traded to Ottawa. Good thing he was, because that's what got her to finally like the Senators!!

May God bless you, heal you, and give you peace for your meeting tomorrow! Go with His courage, boldness, and knowing His Presence is right there with you in that room! What time is the interview? I'll be praying for sure!

Love and Prayers,
LPP

Praying you will get the rest you need and that recovery is already on its way. Underneath are the Everlasting Arms!
