Quick Update

I'm off work Friday, Monday and Tuesday. Just need a few days to recoup, think and pray. I am trying to decide whether or not a few weeks off work will help me regroup (I feel guilty about it all), or will it make the situation worse for me. As you know, I've been seeking professional help and advice, so I'm not necessarily looking for it here....just continuing to turn to my Pals for prayer support. I wonder, even if the Lord opened a door to another job, would it be any better? Probably not. The reality is I don't "fit" in the secular workforce - I haven't since my first mission trip ...missions spoiled me forever. It is where my joy and true satisfaction is. I knew it on my first trip to Guatemala 9 years ago. But I have to work and I now "own" a condo (moving end of June) so I really have to work!!

I'll be going to visit my mom over the weekend in the hospital (1 and a half hours out of town) - will stay with my dad for a couple days. Mother's Day is Sunday but it may not be too happy. I had hoped to take mom (and dad) out for supper on Sunday.

Thanks for your support and prayers. One of these days I'm going to post something so wonderful....a breakthrough healing for me....meeting a wonderful, godly man to share missions with....and hopefully good news about my mom....

Good morning Little Missionary Julie...Thinking about you and praying that you will have a good Mothers Day with your mom.
I don't suppose you could sneak in Alfie F in a shopping bag or something, eh to cheer your mom up?
Hmmm...Probably not!
Just never mind about your posts Julie....Keep on posting, eh?...Love Terry

Hi, Little Missionary,

I think of you often as we count down the days til our trip to OTT...I'll be thinking of you and Lauren-Mary as I snap photos of your beautiful tulips! Speaking of tulips, can you please post a few photos of the tulips in Ottawa? Mrs. Shirkie really loves tulips and doesn't have them in Welland.

Love and Prayers,
LPP
