6. When and how did you come to know the Lord?: I was raised Catholic, so knew about God, but never had a relationship with Jesus....until I was given a tape by Greg Laurie in 1999; reluctantly I listened to it one morning at work and then decided to begin every morning with it....it took about 30 days for my heart to engage, and the story is much longer than this....but at age 44, I accepted HIS invitation

9. If you were given the chance to build your dream home, where would it be located and who would you want your neighbour to be?: It would be in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains near Boulder...I would not want any neighbors, but I would have it built as a Bed and Breakfast to allow for continual visitors..lots of good food, fellowship, worship, mountain trails...doesn't that sound lovely?? and all of you would be my first guests !!
10. How did you discover Pilgrim Pals or Pilgrim Scribblings?:
I am not certain, but I believe David first visited my blog a few years back from Vicki's blog (Windows to my Soul)...(I have had several blogs in the last three years)and then I would find him over at Becky's (Faith Expedition)...but Terry, more or less, introduced me to Pilgrim Pals.
This was so much fun...

YES - WELCOME AGAIN DONNA
Donna:
Raised in Cape Vincent, NY. Just curious...you don't have to reveal your age but does the name Fisher Gage Inc. or Fishercast in Watertown, NY mean anything to you?
That's our family business. They named the road in Watertown, Fisher Road (or Drive) when we moved there. When we first went to Watertown, we rented space at the airport. We had to close the Watertown facility several years ago and consolidate things in Peterborough, Ontario.
I'd often take the ferry from Cape Vincent to Wolfe Island then across to Kingston rather than driving. It was always a nice diversion.
Let me know if Fisher Gage Inc. means anything.
In Him,
David
Welcome!
I'll never forget the day I wrote Mrs. Shirkie a comment and you responded to it...you really scared me so bad...and no one probably knows what I'm talkign about except you, Mrs. Shirkie, and I ;) Anyway it sure made me learn that whatever I wrote better be understood to WHOEVER read it!
Lil Pilgrim Pal
Oh, and guess I'd be invited to that Niagara Falls get-together, right? ;)
Lil Pilgrim Pal
hebrews11:1....
the worse part about the entire comment was that I was only joking and you both thought you had insulted me in some way and then days went past and I never told you i was just being a smarty pants....us new yorkers are like that ya know !!! And of course, you would be invited...
David.....yes I do know about Fisher Gage in Watertown....and once upon a time knew many who worked there....and since we are only a few years different in age....I must ask you if you ever ate at the Cape Vincent Inn, owned by the Todds during the 70's....I worked there many summers...and have you ever been to French Festival...and yes many many fond memories for me...we used to take the ferry across to wolfe island, ride our bikes across the island and catch the next ferry to kingston....someday I must write about my childhood/young adult days in Cape Vincent...I could go on for days...
donna
Yes, certainly you are invited to come to Niagara Falls Hebrews!
You will just have to wait til next year when the Sabres lose again and the Lake Erie will be rising with all the crying going on and then you can just swim on over!!
Unless you wait until they will be crying when the Buffalo Bills lose the football game!..Love Mrs. Shirkie
Bring along little Montreal Girl
Oh, I have been tricked badly, and by a Yankee...that's what we Southerners call Northerners :) My mom taught me that. And my sister is probably still laughing because she said she knew all along you were just joking, as she claims she KNOWS New Yorkers...I guess she should, she spent a few days at a friend's home in Champlain. And did you notice she says she wants to live there?!
Does the lake ever overflow when the Bandits lose? I can see you guys googling that one. Let's see who's smart now...I listen to Bandits games on occasion.
Mrs. Shirkie, do tell your sweet friend Donna my "secret", as I think smart people like her can keep it...
Lil Pilgrim Pal
Will do Hebrews 11:1..
I will write her right now!..Love Mrs. Shikrie
