Years ago when I was a supervisor in the hospital, I had a worker that was a drug dealer and was always high on something - I witnessed to him many times , then I discovered he was stealing and so I thought I would dismiss him from the job and the LORD impressed upon me NOT TO FIRE HIM - so I didn't , I continued to witness about JESUS - then one night, the LORD said to me (not audible) go to Mark , he is ready to be saved ! I practically ran up there to the lab where he was working - I found him "stoned" on something- sitting on a counter , eyes glassy - I said , Mark , The Lord just told me your ready to get saved ! - He laughed and said OK - he jumped down and I said U mean it ? He said yeah - lets see if this God that U talk about is real -- I led him in sinners prayer - he prayed , nothing happend - I said , Mark , IF U MEAN IT , HE WILL COME IN -- Mark said , let's pray again - we did -- MARK GOT SOLIDLY SAVED - I took him home with me for the night , he met my wife and kids and we gave him a bed to sleep on and he told me , he took LSD the night before and sometimes he would go off a day later sooo -- I said the Lord will take care of us --- Mark , later went to Eastern Nazarene College and graduated and married a Baptist girl and became an ordained minister of the Gospel --- he was a hardcore drug dealer and user -- GOD KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING -- AMEN

Thank you! I think I needed to read that on a day like today when I am missing my neighbor so much. Oh, God, please send him back home to his family soon, they need him so! I pray so often. Those stupid drugs...I never was angry at my neighbor, I said he made the wrong choices, especially not to rehab, but I loved him as a brother (as did all my siblings), so why should I hate him for what he did?
May God answer our prayers for him SOON

Lil Pilgrim pal -- this man Mark , never in a thousand years would U think he would get saved - ever - even after he got saved and cleaned up , his mother HATED me - she was a nurse in the hospital and she couldnt' stand her son preaching Christ to her - she despised me - well a few years later - she came to the church and got SAVED , how she loved me -- she sent letter to me apologising -she used me and talked about me wickedly in the beginning - she died a few years after getting SAVED from cancer --- she became a good testimony and her son now preaches the GOSPEL -- OUR GOD CAN DO ANYTHING HEB 11:1
Heb. right after Mark got saved - he worried about alot of the druggies that he used to supply - they told him they were going to "get" me - I would leave the hospital parking lot at 1am - Mark said they were serious and he would beg me not to go to my car in the lot - I always did and God took care of me --- we have so many stories of God's working in the past - May I serve HIM MORE
I know He can do anything...I just get so impatient...I want my neighbor home NOW, not tomorrow...I don't want to hear the little ones cry "Daddy! again...I don't want to see the oldest head off to that terrible elementary school (she's going to home school him if that business they own sells--talk about a prayer we've had for a while)...where is my child-like faith I used to have?!
Thanks for letting me vent...sorry about that, but I feel better now.

YOUR A GODLY PERSON -- and God hears U --
U have no idea how U and your sister and family has affected me -
The Lord Bless U , Heb -- remember , that we can't carry the world on our shoulders - keep giving it to the Lord --
If you ever think of us and our neighborhood (which is full of youth/adults on drugs), please pray for Chris. We met him when he was 11, just a wee boy at the soccer field, begging to play with us. We only had 2 min. before we had to go home, but my dad said, okay, if he insisted he could join. He drew a penalty from my brother, and scored a beautiful goal on me. Then it was time to go, but the look of apprecaition in his eyes shone. A few times after we saw him ride by on his bike, and then one day Icame out of the house to find him sitting next to my mom on the front steps. His face was bright as he spoke with her and his shoulder rested against her side. He looked at her lovingly and they nely took my breath away. Poor boy was starved for attention. He came around quite a bit, and we became friends--although at a distance still. I caught him smoking at age 12. Then at 14 I saw him running drugs. He dropped ut of school that year. I didn't see him that summer and grew worried. He showed up in the fall, and I spoke to hi when I ran into him whie walking my grandfather. He lied and said he'd been around all summer. I spoke to a close friend who was his classmate a few days later...she said he now dealt this and that and that and...don' ever talk to him again, do you understand? the girl who was 4 yrs. younger than me warned. I brushed her aside, but I haven't spoken to him since...God hasn't allowed it. We all still wave at him and he waves back, but he knowsthere is a divide he will not be able to bridge except he give up his lifestyle. He is rarely sober, I am told. I believe it...he almost always has that look in his eyes...but he is truly a smart boy. He is my hope and my inspiration as I pray for a mission for such young men who need to start life over. His parents...who knows where they are, but I can tell they had very little to do with them. He lied beteween his teeth constantly as to say all was well at home...sure. We all know where he lives. We've never seen the dog he spoke of, his older sister he told us of, or his parents. What a tragedy, but I always belive there is hope for him, and all the others like him.

Thank you for the reminder about giving it to the Lord...my parents always say I try to carry too much, so I rarely tell them what burdens me, because I'm tiredof hearing that!
Naughty me, I know.
And I should really be working on that list for my friend...naughty me.
Oh, I got the job, by the way! Praise the Lord! It is good pay, too, beyond expectations. The Lord is really providing, He alone knows how much I'v missed the business I used to own.
