Our Boy Is Back

This morning we went to Camp Medeba to pick up Matthew. The first thing I did after saying "hi" was to take him to the shower and give him a royal scrubbing. You know boys! He was filthy. We were still glad to see him though. He had a great time! Thanks for your prayers.

We decided to drive north through the town of Dorset and up to Highway 60 and across through Algonquin Park. For our American and overseas friends, Algonquin is a huge wilderness area filled with lakes and streams. Only one corner of the huge park has a road through it. The scenery is pristine. It's breathtaking in places. We were hoping to see a moose grazing and we did. A big cow moose was quite close to the highway. About a dozen cars had stopped and the passengers were out with their cameras trying to capture the scene. My batteries had just died.

While we were in Dorset, Matthew and I climbed the huge tower that overlooks the whole area.
Matthew has a fear of heights but he chose to set that aside and he went right to the top with me. See the pictures taken from the top.

All in all it was a great day. We were all glad to get home after a long day. What did we do with Matthew as soon as we got home? We put him in the bathtub to soak. Then it was my turn. I needed it. It felt good!

Thanks for your prayers, dear Pilgrim Pals!
