Plans for the next few days

Hi friends,

I'm blessed to be off work for a few days vacation.
Friday I am going to spend the day and overnight with my friend Louise who lives in Kanata (only 20 minutes from me). She's the one who I hung out with at the Red Zone during the hockey playoffs, (oh where art thou Sens...come back to the ice soon), anyway....Louise's husband and two sons are out in Winterpeg....I mean, Winnipeg for a father/sons vacation. They are all from Winnipeg originally. Louise has big plans for us tomorrow night - a football game is on TV and apparently we are watching it!

Pray for me! :)
I'm not much of a football fan, but for my friend I'll make the sacrifice.
I'll be away from the computer for a couple days.

Before I "sign off" I want to tell you that I had a wonderful meeting with Pastor Mike today - this was our second meeting. He has a great gift of insight and wisdom from the Lord. Having gone through some of the same struggles I am facing he offers me hope that things can change and I can learn to trust God again - on a deeper level. I am very comfortable sharing with this pastor because I know he isn't judging me the way I was severely judged by a few pastors in my former church for simply falling in love with a seminarian and telling him (only after he expressed feelings for me!). Nothing physical happened - but boy, oh boy I was sure they were going to crucify me! I almost offered to go get the nails and some wood!! And then the seminarian denied his feelings! (Catholic seminarians are not allowed to date in case you didn't know). I was hung out to dry. Funny thing is, this seminarian left the seminary several months later and now has a girlfriend - so much for denying that he doubted his calling!
I keep hanging on to these words in scripture that goes something like this, "....you meant it for evil but God meant it for good." I forget where that is in Scripture. Those pastors had no love in their hearts but Pastor Mike is allowing God to use him to re-teach me just how much God does care about the details of my life - especially in the area of a future spouse!
And most importantly, that it isn't a sin to fall in love - even with a seminarian.

Bless you all. "See" you in a few days! I miss you already.

Mrs. Shirkie...Instead I quenched the temptation by going over and noticing the photos weren't coming up correctly. And look at me now...I stl haven't made it over there! I'm blog-scotching all over, but I've only been over there to read comments!

How are you doing? Did you write me back at your blog, yet, or have you been enormously busy like me today?!

Oh, and did you read the story I tod on my sister down at the post entitled Remember Him...Pasing-thru says she might tattle on me now...but he forgets WHO is the eldest here!
