A RARE GLIMPSE

Was going to use Henrietta's words for David's request for spiritual comment on that picture he posted - instead just posting her words instead - These words were the last on her will - she left no earthly possessions and at 90 years old lived a saintly faith life - here are her words

"To my large missionary family I send my deep love. Tell them to stand fast and be faithful till He come. We only say "GOODNIGHT'. We meet at DAWN OF DAY. May each one run with patience the race set before her, "looking off unto Jesus" Soon they will come rejoicing, bring in the sheaves - The Eternal Bonds- how unspeakably precious to us, and all coming thruth THE FREE GRACE OF GOD, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has redeemed us with His precious blood, His love revealed to us by the Blessed Comforter.
I stand upon His merit,
I know no other stand
Not e'en where glory dwelleth
In Immanuel's land.

"With deep love.
A sinner saved by grace.
"Henrietta Eliza Soltau".

This woman managed the London based homes for missionarys children then the actual home that housed candidates and all the means to support many many people - the money used to be channeled thru J Hudson Taylor and sent to support the candidates home - Henrietta by faith stopped that and prayed in all the means for support and sent the money back into the Mission fund for missionarys abroad - plus many more wonderful faith works -- I didn't mean to get long winded , but this is one of those "saints" that we rarely get to meet ---- passing-thru

Happy Canada Day to all the Canadian Pilgrim Pals!

The day dawned clear and sunny this morning, and with joy my youngr siblings put up the flag on my grandparents' antenna from their roof. Reality set in however,as we saw the procession of churchgoers dressedin black ascend on the nearby church...the reality of war...of pain...of death...Please remember in your prayers today the mother, brothers, and relatives of our local soldier who died while serving our country in Afghanistan...Krystos Karagiannos. Thank you.
