I just checked my work email, which I can access from my home computer. There was a message from an employee that I wasn't going to bother opening because I figured it was nothing special....just an inquiry about our programs or along those lines....and he would have got a message bounced back to him saying I was away from the office until August 5th. My curiousity got me and I opened it. It was an invitation to a job interview - the position is one I applied for back in March I think!! Just goes to show you how pokey hiring managers can be in local government :) Now, even though this isn't the position I've been praying about - obviously God is up to something, so YES, I will go on the interview - it is a unionized position and at another location...totally away from the painful reminders at my current location!
Could this be my desert BLOOMING!?
Time will tell. I'll give the manager a call tomorrow to set up a time to meet. I'm not getting my hopes to high but I will go with the Spirit on this one and see where He takes me!
David, I hope this little story gives you some encouragement brother. We may not know exactly what God is up to at times but we DO know He is always up to something...and for His children we know it will be God's best.
