Nervous Nelly

I'm a bit of a "nervous nelly" today. My soon to be new manager left me a phone message and said he needs to speak with my current supervisor to confirm when I can start there AND needs a work reference. I thought the 2 references I gave from my missionary work were good enough - he indicated that last week, but now he says he needs a work one... perhaps HR told him to get one. Please keep this in your prayers tomorrow. I do have one person (Joanne), at work that I think is my best bet for a good word about me...I am a dependable worker but there has been so much "bad" stuff and she has taken sides with the "others" at times. She was recently named as the new supervisor in our section when a few of us complained about bullying from our other supervisor. I am not sure what will happen if she is asked how my attendance has been...not that I want her to lie, but it paints me in bad light....if it comes to that I'll talk to Ian (the new boss) and just have to say it was something personally and not reflective of how I usually am....I have a 20 year work history and records show that this is the first time I've ever had to do this! I'm worried about it but trying to surrender it to the LORD! Father God opened this door, surely He won't slam it shut. Sigh! I'll be relieved when I have the official offer in writing.

It's an awful feeling to have something like that sitting over one's head --- I have been there too -- we say trust the Lord but it's only natural to worry --

Will keep U in prayer Lil M

the devil will tell U it's all bad but he is a liar anyway --
OUR GOD HAS GOOD PLANNED FOR U JULIE -----

Praying for you, LM!

And thank you for the comment on my football post! Isn't God amazing? Getting to the game, being at the game, being able to meet the players--it was all a blessing from God. An uncle paid for transportation to and from and the tickets as well...and handing out those versecards was like a dream come true!

Love and Prayers,
LPP

Dear Julie LBM,
This has indeed been a long and winding road for you.
I am leaving you in the hands of the Almighty,
He will not let you down.

He will let nothing enter our lives that's not for His redemptive purposes...this I'm learning (slowly but surely:-) Not to worry, Julie, we are all praying fervently for you. Nothing can thwart His plans for you. {{hugs}}

Oh I just wish that we could all be your references Little Missionary Julie.
After reading this just now, you are at the top of the prayer list for a while.
Oh I pray that Joanne will give you a good reference. If she is an honest person she surely will!!
And God will oversee the whole thing.
I hope that the next post that you give here at the Pals will be a big Hooray!! and Goodbye Nervous Nelly..Love Terry
