Fragrance of God...

Early this morning I was sitting in the living room praying while Andy was still sleeping. As I was praying for something specific I began to pray "differently" about this certain petition than I have in the past. I don't want to go into details about it at this time, so hopefully this makes sense to you! Anyways, as I was praying (and praising!) about this request, I started to smell something.

At first smell, I thought that Andy had gotten up without me realizing it and was spraying on some body spray. You know when you spray body spray, hair spray, etc. and if you're standing right there the smell kind of makes your nostrils tingle? This is what I was smelling. I then realized that Andy was still sleeping...so he hadn't sprayed anything. I started to think "maybe it's God" and then my brain tried to tell me it wasn't...that it had to be coming from outside. Well...common sense (and God) told me that it couldn't be possible...someone would have had to spray something right near me for my nose to tingle like it was.

Once I "shut off" my brain I started to really praise God! I know that He was there right beside me and it was His fragrance I was smelling! No wonder it smelled so good! I have never experieced something quite like this and I've been excited ever since. I mentioned it to my pastor this morning and he says that God is trying to get my attention and tell me something. So now I am really listening for His voice...I'm excited to see what happens now! I will keep you posted about what happens!

I just had to come here and share with you all!

Well Julie -- in th O.T. priests were to burn incense before the Lord and in the N.T. it says that our prayers are a sweet fragrance to HIM -----

At any event, A sweet fragrance before the Lord , our lives should be -------

I didn't like the way I said, "At any event, didn't sit well with me - I should have said - Praise the Lord for your excitement and our lives should be a sweet fragrance before the Lord --
