Hebrews 12:1-3

When I checked back here and saw all the wonderful prayer support I have in my fellow Pilgrims, I immediately thought of a "cloud of witnesses" - seemed like a strange thought. I looked the following scripture:

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:1-3

Fixing my eyes on Jesus has been a recurring thought over the last few weeks - this scripture confirms it.

It does amaze me how fast we Pilgrims jump on the case and get prayin'! We are a committed bunch aren't we?! The devil hates it indeed!

I'm looking forward to the Lord's Day tomorrow and being surrounded by fellow believers - praising our amazing God.

These "bouts" will always come our way - if we were going the same way as the devil, we would never "bump" into him or his demons
THE BATTLE IS OURS - we just got to hang on till victory comes and it does "IN CHRIST"

Another "thought" Lil Missionary - I know U know these truths - but "feelings" come and go - we are complex beings - affected by so many variables and sometimes by actual attacks from the evil one - but what WE HAVE IS THIS CONSTANT
the devil just wants us to forget that so he can mess our minds up - he lost again - (chuckle) and someday he will lose BIG TIME ---lets remember the people around us that don't know JESUS so they can be saved --- passing-thru

How very true!! It's usually a good sign when an attack comes - I know when I'm preparing for a mission trip it isn't long before the enemy trys to discourage me. So, I'm thinking something is up in the spiritual realm - Satan isn't happy that I am back on track after a year of heavy discouragement and NOT being a witness for the Lord. Now I am determined to share the Gospel with my non-Christian friends = we know who doesn't want that to happen! "get behind me Satan!"

Hi Terry, yes I'll drop you an email now.

And, thanks Pilgram Pal - feelings do come and yes, we are complex - our minds are amazing machines - chemicals and all. What I think we (I)need to becareful of is giving the devil an entry point if I'm feeling down or vulnerable - that's when the protection of the Blood of Christ is so vital.
