Matthew Has Been Stung

Dear Pilgrim Pals:

The nurse at Camp Medeba just called to tell us that Matthew has been stung by a bee. She said that they administered the epi-pen and the benadryl but told me that they're taking him to the hospital in nearby Haliburton for observation.

She said that he seems to be doing alright. He hasn't said much but...that's Matthew. I'd drive up there to see him but it's an hour and a half away from here and I need to be here when Nathan gets home. Carol and Tamara are out for the evening and I can't reach them.

Please pray that Matthew will be alright and that emotionally he won't be too upset. THANK YOU so very much. At times like this I value my PILGRIM PALS so much!

I'll keep you posted!

Lots of love,

David, Matthew's dad

P. S. Matthew is on the right, Alex on the left.

You should have heard the groan when I read this post a few minutes ago...Just this afternoon while walking past my garden full of flowers and potato plants, buzzing with wasps and bees, I thought of Matthew...and shamefully I got lost in my thoughts and didn't even pray for him. Now I feel so bad...it was probably God telling me to pray for Matthew. Well, I'll pray for him now, and that's the last time I think of a Pal and not stop to pray!

off to work for the evening...but I shall be praying for Matthew...

David I left you a reply about Fisher Gauge in my stats....if you can find it in between Terry and Hebrews 11:1...they confuse me sometimes...do they think the St. Lawrence River is going to overflow and the Buffalo Bills will win a football game???

I know this is such a terrible hour for me to be still up (working on email addy list for a business for a friend of mine), but it is well worth getting a laugh from that last comment! Mrs. Shirkie started the whole river thing, not me!

Praying again for Matthew -

Your a good dad David -- all these things will help Matthew down the road , its hard not being able to "BE RIGHT THERE" when they need U ----

We are praying still for good results from this bee sting - to an adult this hurts but to a 12 year old away from home -- but ALL WILL BE WELL ----

Donna...One time Bernie came home from work and he said.."Man..Lake Erie is overflowing at the banks and I asked him, "Why? Is it raining hard in Fort Erie?"
"Naw" he said, "The Buffalo Sabres" just lost the hockey game and there's a whole lot of crying going on in Buffalo and the tears are filling Lake Erie!
NOT a pretty sight!
Ha!............Love Terry

Donna-
The Bills did win four games last season! Can you expect more than that from an 85 year old coach? Marv Levy coached our Montreal Alouettes to several Grey Cups(like the Super Bowl) in his younger days.
