Remember Him?

Please remember Mike Fisher in prayer during the summer.

Training camp is just around the corner! Summer is going too fast!

I always remember Mike in my prayers! He inspires me so much - hope I get the chance to tell him someday. Perhaps you can tell him for me "uncle" David :)

Yes, passing-thru - apparently 90% of the women in Ottawa are "in love" with Mike - sigh....I'm afraid I'm too "old" for him but I could be an awesome "older" sister in Christ!

Dear Little Missionary, Julie
You mean the per centage is still the same in Ottawa?
When I lived there there was one guy compared to 10 girls in Ottawa.
That is 10 per cent, eh?
I guess because Ottawa is a govenment city!
90 per cent of the girls are after the little Fish?
hmmm.......Love Terry

Yes Mike's name is on my prayer list beside the names of some of his team-mates,(have the rest of the Sens' names on another list).

Mrs. Shirkie- Julie said 90% of the women in Ottawa are in love with Mike. Not 90% of the population !

Little Montreal Girl
P.S. The Sens do have better looking players than the Little Fish ;)

Hey, I like to think of the coming hockey season...I don't like to think that means no more summer... :(

I'll admit it, Mike is not on my list alhough I do pray for him occasionally, so I guess I better add him. I pray for so many who are unsaved, and all the pals,my friends and family, sometimes I forget to py for everyone else. Come hockey season I pray for everyone of course...especailly during games.

I’m going to spill something on my sister…and then run for cover :)

When she first started following hockey she was not a Sens fan. I remember her hoping the Leafs would beat them one year in the play-offs. I recall her being a Bruins fan because her friend was, and liking the Thrashers because she liked Dany Heatley…and that was how she became a Sens fan…When Heatley was traded I clearly remember breaking the “awful” news to her, and she was mad. I think she probably cried, too. It didn’t take too long for her to like Heatley’s new team. Somehow she actually convinced me to like them, too. I didn’t really, though. Mr. Fisher knows a story better than anyone about my sister’s request and how I turned it down, but I couldn’t sleep well that night as I talked with God, and by morning I was convinced I had to like the Sens…okay, that’s not exactly what I was convinced of, but I think of that fateful night May 2006 often, wondering if what I did the next day made any difference in the world besides make me pray for the entire team by name for a while after!

I think I got lost in my thoughts there, but anyway THAT is how my sister became a Senators fan. And no, she ceratinly isn’t in love with any of the players there…I’m very tempted to say a remark behind that, but I would really be cruising for a bruising from her! :)
