TESTIMONY

We had 3 young children at the time, made a small paycheck and we needed a station wagon but had little money and didn't want to buy a car that may not be the best - Joanne and I seen a 1968 white chevy station wagon parked behind a small gas station as we drove home from a sunday nite service - we both seen it and said , now thats what we need and said that would be perfect for us - there was no sign on the car , it was just sitting there . We started praying specifically for such a car as that AND to make sure it was God's choice for us , we prayed this way - LISTENING ? - we prayed that God's car would come to us ! we were going to believe God was going to bring HIS car to us - drive right up in front of our 3rd floor apartment -- we prayed for 2 months every day , NO ONE KNEW OF OUR REQUEST -- one Saturday morning around 9 oclock, my brother-in-law knocked on our door - I was surprised as Denis never visits us , he said , I was visiting my mom and she told me if I knew anyone that was looking for a station wagon , he said no , but he said, I know that Bob and Joanne could use one for the growing family -- I then said yes we are looking -- he said look out the window -- IT WAS THE SAME WHITE STATION WAGON that we seen 2 months earlier and started us praying --it turned out that Denis's mother lives 2 houses behind that car and she knew the owner who told her he decided to sell it --- The price was right and it was God's car and we used it to pick up sunday school kids and it served us well ---- The car came to our front door as we prayed !

This reminds me of when our son and I coveted to pray for car to be "given" to us for a $1.00 USD or less. We prayed for a year (without telling anyone except Pilot Dad) before the Lord provided. How exciting it was to share that with our son! The car was beyond our dreams...1990 Buick LaSabre...loaded with extras.

I LOVE how the Lord works. Thanks for sharing your story of His provision.

Thx for sharing your wonderful answer to specific prayer and thx for the flowers I found over on another site :-)
It blessed me -- I love that chapter on Isaiah -- --
It is so neat to see these answers - but like manna , we need a daily supply , its only once in awhile we see dramatic results but old George Mueller said that in his life time , he seen in the same day answers to over 33,000 prayer requests - and many more that took months and even years -- when we go to the mail box , we are looking for the mail - we should do that when we pray -- lol -- there I go again ,"preaching" -- lol

Dear passing through,
you are witnessing about one of "my" Bible experiences.
The wonders of God are ..well, just that, wonderful.
What a father we do have, and what a concern for us, and for the lillies and the birds.

Mattew 6: 28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Isn't that just like the Lord. He gives us the desires of our heart and meets our needs at the same time. God is so good!

Hello, Pals!

Sorry I have been busy as usual for the day, and have not been on....even now I do not know how much time I can spend here.

I see I've missed a lot, and must run to catch up...and by the way, today I noticed the difference for the first time since my new supplements. I am always dragging and worn out on our busy Thursdays and today I was certainly tired, but not at all like I usually am! Praise the Lord! Thank you, Jesus!

I'll be walking Nemo tomorrow morning...that is if I can find him ;) Oh, I've been waiting a while to throw that in there! Then it will be 3-4 times a week.

I get paid tomorrow, but in my aniticpation, naughty me borrowed money from my sister and spent $20 at the used book store on 4 books and 1 CD. Mr. Fisher would be jealous, actually I ho he reads this. I got 2 softcover and 1 hardcover Christian books in there. Max Lucado book for 5.50; Franklin Graham book (hardcover) for $5 and Billy Graham book for $7. Actually the Lucado book I got free, as the sale was buy 3 get the 4th free. The other book was a bird book...I can't seem to walk out without buying a nature book! And the CD is called Streams, I already have it, but it was only $4 and now I can lend it to my friends. I like half the songs on there and they are very relaxing and encouraging (the ones I like, that is!)

Heb. 11:1, I am so glad to hear you have noticed a difference in how you are feeling. Every little bit helps, doesn't it? That's what I keep telling my hubby...all the "little bits" add up to a grand feeling good experience! :)
