Just dwelling on the "uncertainty" of life - sitting here , thinking of David and Carol and their "hope" of God meeting their financial need - the older we get, the less "we" are able to do or deliver ourselves from situations. My mom and dad's world got very difficult with age, operations, out of work, they never owned a thing, worked hard and raised a large family- in the mid fifties things went downhill for them - but ONE THING STAYED CONSISTENT - their faith, ROCK SOLID , dad and mom testified every chance they had - tithed and gave offerings weekly - dad would wear his Jesus hat and jacket - tracts and was a prayer warrior - dad had his homcoming when he was 84 years old - they never complained - hobbled around on his bad legs, smiling and loving JESUS - oh, how dad loved the Lord -- YES - its more difficult now as we age and can't see around the corner the way we used to -- but if we listen real hard , we can "hear" David Fisher's Dad and My Dad, shouting "glory" and GOD is FAITHFUL --- there are too many scriptures declaring HIS FAITHFULNESS , old truths , yes -- but renewing them daily , taking ahold of faith once again for new and present battles ---
