THE FATHER WAS LOOKING


LETS REMEMBER TERRY - she is having trouble hearing -



A "TRUE" PICTURE OF OUR GOD is in the Prodigal Son - Luke 15 chapter, sometimes my "preaching" ways are too strong, its important that "we" I, portray GOD in THE LIGHT OF HIS LOVE THRU HIS SON -- and the "PRODIGAL SON" shows that CLEARLY ---
The son said I am a sinner and not worthy of my Father's love - The FATHER sees him afar off and JOYOUSLY EXCLAIMS - "My son , he RUNS to him, EMBRACES him, puts the BEST ROBE on him, a ring on his finger and shoes on his feet, and says "MY SON" !
HOW FATHERLY AND GODLIKE IS OUR GOD to us -- NOW ! THIS IS THE PICTURE OF OUR GOSPEL , WHAT A GOD , WHAT A SAVIOUR - this prodigal has found forgivness and restoration so many times, may I be a blessing to HIM

What a nice post to come home to Passing-thru.
Here you are talking about me behind my back.
Cause you do realize, eh that I was that prodigal son?
Luke 15:20 "And he arose and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him."

You know what Passing-thru, the servants must of ran right along with the father because they were right there when the father told them to throw a robe upon the son and to put and a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet!

Luke 15:24 "For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.
And they began to be merry.

A GREAT STORY OF GOD'S LOVE

No... I wasn't a prodigal Passing-thru..I was THAT prodigal!...

You know something else about that son, Passing-thru?
When he came to himself and decided to go home to his father, he was going to say to him, "Father I have sinned against heaven and against thee and am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants."
Somewhere on his way back, he thought of this.
"I don't even deserve to be a hired servant!"
In those days a rebellious son according to the law was to be stoned to death.
So that son, realizing that he was facing a death sentence even then decided to keep going home to his father. "Father, I have sinned against heaven and in thy sight and am no more worthy to be thy son.
In fact he left himself in the hands of the father's mercy.
Just like us, eh?
All we deserverd was death and then hell for our sin and when we faced this, well God just told us that He would save us!!

The verse I was referring to Passing-thru is,..Deuteronomy 21: 18.."If a man have a stubborn and a rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that when they have chastenend him, will not hearken unto them."
Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place;
And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice and is a glutton, and a drunkard.
21.."And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die:

So the prodigal son knew he deserved to die just like I knew that the only thing I deserved was hell..
