ABOUT and NOT TO

I find it easier to "talk about" ------ GOD , etc. than "talk to" GOD and my guess is that is true with most of us -- talking religion is as old as time is -- it was a "sport" of sorts in ancient Greece -- Mars Hill and Paul for example -

The devil is not "looking" for callasous on the tongue but callasous on the knees -
looking down at mine , I find them looking soft , been coasting too long , I need to pick up the "pace" and help some pilgrims along on this "journey" to the Celestial City --

I hope all of my Pilgrim Friends has a Blessed Day

ps. still thinking of LPP and Lil Montreal Girl and family -- Comfort and Strength

You are right Passing-thru.
My knees could use a little hardening up too.
Sometime I notice more that my elbows are callased!
And my hands are too soft too. I find that I haven't been doing enough work for the Lord!
And my feet! Oh dear!

Romans 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Can one of the Pals please post this? Thank you....

Hello dear Pals!

Wow....it has been such a long time since I left a notice for a post here! Things have been a bit topsy-turvy around here and we are s l o w l y settling in to this new life --one day at a time.

I guess I'll go back a bit and then bring you up to speed....

First of all, my family was so blessed to have Mrs Butler and Mr Mackay representing the Pals at my dad's memorial service. It was both comforting and encouraging, and I made sure all my friends knew how far these Pals drove who had never met us before!! Mrs. Butler gave me sooooo many hugs from all you Pals, and it felt sooo good to get hugs in person rather than through cyberspace ;)

Every day has been different for us and each day seems to bring a new struggle or trial at the same time. I have been helping my mom with sorting out finances, and she is so blessed that her sister, an accountant, is adding up all the numbers and doing all the figures for her!

The hardest day of the week is Sunday, we have figured out. That has traditoinally been our "family day" where we did things together all the time. And suddenly, my dad is no longer here to do things with us. There are times during the week when I miss him, but those are usually just moments. Sundays are difficult because he was with us all day...and now he's not.

Family and friends have been telephoning us every day and that helps all of us a lot to have someone to talk to. Some days are quieter than others, but just a reassuring, encouraging word when we answer the phone cheers the heart. As well, all of us children look forward to when the mail arrives, because we all want to open a card and see who sent one to us, and what they said. Sometimes it is just seeing that an old friend sent us a card that brightens the moment, and other times it is the kind, encouraging words and scriptures inside. I'm sure as time goes on we won't hear from others via phone or mail so much...but for now, we enjoy it a lot :)

Thank you for all your prayers and your kind, encouraging, and thoughtful words you have left here on Pals over the past few weeks. It means a lot to us who read Pals. You all are such a blessing!

God is faithful and He has been blessing us and providing for us in so many ways. Please continue to pray for wisdom for my mom...she needs a lot right now!

Love and Prayers,
a very blessed LPP

PS
I have noticed that there is some lurker from Montreal who checks Pals every so often...I am just curious as to who that lurker is if they wish to leave a comment.

Dear Little Pilgrim Pal
It is so nice to hear from you such a newsy letter.
I know that you are there for your Mom and I know that she must appreciate you so much. I know from experience that it is no easy task and sometimes very overwhelming but I also know that the Lord if right there all along the way.
I hope that little Sunshine and Little Montreal Girl and your brothers still feel the comforting arms of the Father around them
Please give my regards to your Mom...

Hebrews...How do you know that there is somebody lurking from the Montreal area?
Well if they ARE lurking. I just hope that it is doing them some good, eh?.......Love Mrs. Shirkie

Mrs Shirkie,

It is so nice to get a comment from you ;) I just love hearing from you. Mrs Butler passed on to me the message about the CD--I am excited about that :) My siblings have a CD that they will send you sometime. They recorded their first in April...oh, right, I'm on it too!!

I noticed on Feedjit, taht little widget on the side, who comes and goes on here...and I saw when I watched it in realtime (click below on it) that there is a Montreal, Quebec that is on here at hours that we are not ;) The other Montreal, Quebec is us...I always notice when you're on, and I wish I could just scream HI! and you'd hear me through this computer! LOL!

Love and Prayers,
LPP
