Blessings All Mine With Ten Thousand Beside

You'll likely recognize the title of this post as being a line from a hymn favourite of us all, Great Is Thy Faithfulness. He truly is faithful and His faithfulness extends to every generation. Praise God!

What a blessing to come home from a frustrating day and read the posts and comments on Pilgrim Pals! I'm encouraged each time I come by to see what you're all up to.

Vicki, you never leave "a" comment, you leave 5 or 6 and I always enjoy every one of them. What is the heart surgery that you mentioned? Please let us know the details. CONGRATULATIONS on surviving for 3o years of marriage. I guess I shouldn't use the word "surviving" but that's often what we do isn't it.

It would be such an incredible experience to have all the Pilgrim Pals together in one place for a retreat. The problem would be when it came time to leave. None of us would want to. Just think, we could fly Rodney in from Australia, Amrita from India and our beloved Felisol from Norway.

It was exciting to read of Donna's and Paul's visit to Quebec to attend the funeral of LPP's and prayingsensfaninmontreal's father. Then last week I had the pleasure of being with Paul and Julie (the Peterborough one). Someday I'll go in to Laura's workplace and surprise her.

Let's continue to lift each other up in prayer. Donna particularly requests our support these days. Julie, the Little Missionary, covets our prayers on behalf of her job situation.

Of course we can never stop praying for the day when Terry's father, Dad Golden, surrenders his heart to Jesus Christ.

So many needs, so many heartaches but God has lavished His blessings upon us..."blessings all mine with ten thousand beside".

Welcome back passing-thru. We missed you! Pilot Mom, we love you!

Let's press on for the prize and keep praying as we forge ahead on the journey, empowered by our Great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Lots of love,

~ David, the Pilgrim

Yes, my favorite hymn!

Thanks for this post, David. I like the retreat idea. What an incredible time that would be, like a mini-version of heaven with all the saints gathered.

Thanks for the anniversary wishes. Yes, it WAS survival at times, no kidding. Many, many stories. We started off by Richard losing his leg to amputation before we were even believers. One thing after another for years. Tonight he thanked me for putting up with him, but I feel like he puts us with ME...lol....maybe that's love:-)

And Passing-thru, I was tickled to see you're back. We have missed you indeed!!

So many needs, but God is not tired, ya'll. Press into Him and stay there.

I love you all.

PS - I'm not scheduled for heart surgery. I meant that I was going through "spiritual" heart surgery, in response to something Julie wrote.
So I still need prayer:-)

Vicki:

That's for the clarification re your heart surgery.

If the truth were known, we would all go in to God's O.R. together and be changed into His likeness.

Blessings, Vicki!

David, amen. I think most of us *are* going through some kind of spiritual heart surgery. Praying for you, David, as well as my other friends here.
