In Response to ....Do Not Dilute

Aftr reading the post by passing thru titled "Do Not Dilute"
it reminded me that this weekend and next is when thousands flock to
this corner of the world to view what is called The Hill Cumorah
Pageant. It literally attracks thousands from all over the country
and from Canada...

The home of Joseph Smith is located in Palmyra, NY about 25 miles
from me, but the pageant is located not more than 10 miles. It is on the
pageant grounds, a place referred to as the "sacred grove" where they say Joseph Smith had his first vision....etc.etc.etc....

In 2001/2002, I worked at a local Kampground owned and operated by Christians...
and I can only say, what an incredible experience it was to work there and be able to speak the truth to the hundreds that came through....

one LDS website has this to say:

Experience the excitement, drama, and pageantry of America's largest and most spectacular outdoor theatrical event, focusing on the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ.

The Hill Cumorah Pageant: America's Witness for Christ

is a testimony in drama and music that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. The pageant portrays the account of a group of people who left Jerusalem about 600 B.C. and were guided to what is now the American continent. Live actors depict events that lead up to the climactic visit of Jesus Christ to the Americas.

A history of this people, written on gold plates, was deposited in this hill approximately A.D. 420 by Moroni, the last survivor of a great civilization. In 1827, Moroni returned as an angel and delivered the gold plates to Joseph Smith, who translated them through the power of God. The translation of the gold plates is called the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ.

The Hill Cumorah Pageant: America's Witness for Christ

is a magnificent, family-oriented production complete with earthquakes and lightning. Seven sound stages, all with digital sound and state-of-the-art lighting, transform the hill into a scene from America's past. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has hosted this spectacular, all-volunteer pageant since 1937.

While you're in the Palmyra area, visit the Hill Cumorah Visitors' Center and interesting sites relating to the Book of Mormon and its translator, Joseph Smith. Additional information about historic sites, calendar events, and other items of interest in Palmyra can be found at http://www.hillcumorah.org.

Please pray that the Christians in this area have the courage to speak the truth when given the opportunity this weekend and next. I had forgotten all about it until passing thru's post...

Dear Donna....That was a real mission ground that the Lord had for you there, eh?
Praying for the Christians that will be there giving the simple un-watered down [is that a word?] gospel to any who will listen and to any who are truly searching!
What an opportunity!!...Love Terry

What "seems" obvious to us , Christians , the "new birth" has opened our eyes -- we see now these "truths" of the Bible --
NOT SO with "cults" or any teaching "other" than the WORD of God -- they are "blinded" by god of this world and have made OF NO EFFECT the FREE GRACE of GOD IN CHRIST and have "added" to the GOSPEL such as the Jews that followed Paul and tried to add "works" to the GRACE that Paul preached --
ANYTHING other than THE GRACE OF GOD THRU CHRIST'S ATONEMENT is NOT of GOD --
*Can U imagine buying "into" a teaching of some angel named Moroni or of some "babbler" name joseph smith --
Without the "BORN-AGAIN" Grace of God regenerating us thru Grace and not of our own works , we would be as these followers of false fairy tales ---
Not trying to be "cruel" just saying it like it is --
*** We know this -- if "ANY" man hunger to "KNOW" GOD , HE will draw him to HIMSELF ---
