Joy of the Redeemed

For David and me....and any other child of God feeling discouraged and darkness closing in.

This is what I opened my Bible to today:

Isaiah 35

"The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom, it will rejoice greatly and shout of joy....Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, Be Strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you......And a highway will be there, it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will journey on it; it will be for those who walk in the Way......"

This is only a portion; I encourage you to read the whole chapter David. I am meditating on it throughout the day. I know we will not see the the "desert" of our life in FULL bloom until we are in Heaven - but I also believe as we walk in the WAY He will cause our "desert" to bloom and give us streams of Living Water to cast away the "weeds of worry".

"Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert." Verse 6 (b)

Lord, I come before you on behalf of ALL YOUR children suffering today in whatever "desert" they are experiencing....financial, loneliness, grieving the loss of a loved one, persecution for their faith in you....God you know the "desert" we are in and only you can deliver us from the enemy who wants us to remain in that unfruitful, dark place. Jesus, man acquainted with sorrows - have mercy on us and forgive us for not being more trusting of the Father to deliver us in His PERFECT time. Jesus, Light onto our path, lead us into streams of living water where we will bear abundant fruit for Your kingdom! Thank you Lord Jesus.
