KEEP THE EDGE

Am sure David won't mind if I "throw" a post in here --Greetings to U David - trusting your time in Elim is a blessing -
Hello to all the "pals" from the past --

DON'T LET "THINGS " take the "EDGE" off of our witness --
Just a thought here -- So often we read in Holy Writ, how God allows "testing" to the believer - trials , even failures , all to "refine" to break down , to melt , so that HE can mold anew that which HE CHERISHES MOST -- So often we think , after reading great testimonies of missionaries or Christians enduring imprisonment, of the nobleness to suffer for Christ, but more than likely we end up in the shadows, with no one knowing we are there, we get hurt from some gossip at work, some unkind thing done by someone we befriended . Little things that come at U by surprise and yet ALL of this is allowed by God , to work HIS work in us .
Think not that I am above this -- no no no --- I often said , that the message is greater than the messenger, even now I have an issue in my family that would hurt and tear at us but we endure, knowing God in time, will work all things out --
Years ago I was teaching an adult sunday school class to about 60 people , I was just about to go into the class room and I got into an argument with my wife, who got upset and left me there and drove home, our home was 25 miles away and I had no way of getting home , lol -- I was upset, my face showed it and I went into the classroom and told them, I got my wife mad and she went home, but the message is greater than the messenger, so lets open HIS WORD --- well the same is for us with everyday life -- no matter the trial HE ALLOWS , we will honor the MESSAGE -- so hold fast brethren ---
We will be tried and tested but usually in ways we don't expect ---
LOVE IN CHRIST

Dear Passing-thru
I think that we have all been going through these trying times and the Lord is not only bringing us through them but He is right by our side as we are walking.
On May 22nd Steven Curtis Chapman lost his little girl, and yet I just bet that he can still sing this song that he has sung in several CDs.
After all what other hope does the Christian have except to know that the Lord understands every heart ache that we have?!
This is a great post Passing-thru and it is so nice to see you back!

To all the travelers
Pilgrims longing for a home
From one who walks with you
On the journey called life's road
It is a long and winding road
From one who's seen the view
And dreams of staying on the mountain high
And one who's cried like you
Wanting to much just to lay down and die
I offer this, we must remember this
We are not home yet
We are not home yet
Keep on looking ahead
Let your heart not forget
We are not home yet
Not home yet
So close your eyes with me
And hear the Father saying "welcome home"
Let us find the strength
In all His promises to carry on
He said, "I go prepare a place for you"
So let us not forget
We are not home yet
We are not home yet
Keep on looking ahead
Let your heart not forget
We are not home yet
Not home yet
I know there'll be a moment
I know there'll be a place
Where we will see our Saviour
And full in His embrace
So let us not grow weary
Or too content to stay
Cause we are not home yet
We are not home yet
Not home yet
So let us journey on
We are not home yet
We are not home yet
So keep on looking ahead
Let your heart not forget
We are not home yet
Not home yet
