Together...on the Journey

Today I was invited out for coffee and a muffin by a long-standing friend. Our conversation centered on the challenges of hanging in there for the long haul on the journey we call life. Later another friend dropped by my office and treated me to lunch. Again we conversed about the pilgrimage, the journey that we are taking. Are we making progress as we get nearer home?

For each traveler there are distinctly different roadblocks, detours or events that demand our attention. No two pilgrims face identical circumstances. We are all unique. We encounter similar situations but, in the end, nobody really understands fully the heartaches and brokenness of others.

As Christian believers we have the assurance that a sovereign God knows everything about us, loves us anyways (unconditionally) and longs for us to draw near to Him. He is our burden bearer and comes alongside us on the journey.

As Pilgrim Pals we know the Father, having entered into an eternal relationship with Him through faith in His Son. Although we are spread across the globe and separated by time and space, we are one in Christ and close to each other through prayer and fellowship.

So, as I close my little sermonette, I encourage each of you to pray for one another, bear one another's burdens and, above all, stand strong in the strength of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:10)

I love you all and praise God for bringing each and every one of you into my life.

Be encouraged today!

~ David, the Pilgrim

I so appreciate each one our Pilgrim Family and their faithfulness to uphold one another in prayer. Even those of us who haven't been heard from in a little while, we are not forgotten. Thankfully!

I have returned to work...just 2 1/2 days a week but you would think its five days a week when I drag myself out that office door. :)

Don't think I am not praying for all the needs shared here. Many times I don't have the time to type out a response but know my heart is entering the mighty throne room of our Lord and Savior!

Goodnight dear Pilgrims!

Your post encourages my heart, David. Passing-thru is right, "good stuff." We never know the heartaches another person has endured, so I'm learning with age to be gentle with everyone I meet. May the Lord's life flow through us to one another, here at Pals and everywhere else.

God bless you, David.

Good to hear from Pilot Mom. I so relate to the challenge of typing out a response when I'm tired. Most of the time I pray, but not always do I leave a note. Let's just do as He enables...hope you're getting rested up from the job each week.{{hugs}}
