He Knows Our Needs

Dear Pilgrim Pals:

It's always a blessing for me to come to this PILGRIM PALS site and find posts written by some of our dear friends...pilgrim pals. It's OUR site so let's take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to get to know each other, pray for each other and make our needs known.

Hopefully more of our friends will get involved and start posting here as well. If you have some blogging friends who you communicate with and you know and trust their heart, why not give them the username and password so they can become part of the "family".

NOW HERE ARE A FEW REQUESTS, MY FRIENDS:

  1. Pray for godly wisdom for us as we try to get our heads around the fact that we might have to sell our home. I'm really struggling with the idea although I know that others before me have downsized during difficult financial times and they still realized the blessing of God on their lives and ministries. It's just so hard to think of not being here. if all the Pilgrim Pals came here some time for a retreat you would know what I mean.

  2. Pray for a financial miracle as we wait on the Lord and trust Him.

  3. Pray for our sons Matthew (11) and Nathan (10). Carol and I can get anxious when we think of our future (and their's). We are not "spring chickens" by any means and we wonder who will care for them when we're no longer around. They may not be able to live independently due to their challenges.

  4. Pray for our home church as we vote this weekend on a new pastor. We need to know God's mind and will.

  5. Pray that I will be able to effectively carry on our ministry of encouragement not only to athletes but to everyone we come in contact with.
Thanks so much, dear friends!

David, the Pilgrim

your post - overwhelming - I can't imagine the "thoughts" the fiery darts from the prince of liars -
We can do though , what THE ALMIGHTY, said to do - pray much , and EARNESTLY bring U and Carol daily , to the THRONE , no cliche's here brother David - new mountains to conquer - may GOD bring the "Caleb" out of U during these times of battle - I promise -PROMISE to pray daily for U and yours --- no cliche's but the WORD only, HE IS FAITHFUL and will REMEMBER your labour of Love --

another post - what decisions ! - is it true ? that God will only allow trials of no more than we can bear ? So easy for me to say, I am not facing such choices - but I can and will PRAY - I remember years ago , aged saints in the church testifying on Sunday nites , saying - it was no easier after all the years of service, but they did say , GOD has been faithful - it would be good to hear from "seasoned" missionaries and hear their testimonies during "the darkness of night" (your post of a couple of weeks ago) will tenderly go to the THRONE for U and yours , brother David

AM SO SORRY FOR POSTING AGAIN - "let every man be a liar" and let "every thought" come into subjection to THE WORD OF GOD - GOD IS FAITHFUL - I WILL NEVER LEAVE U - NOR FORSAKE U - MY EYE WILL GUIDE U ---

David, U have drawn the line in the sand - U are standing on the LORD'S SIDE --- and on HIS WORD U STAND --------- we fellow Christians will pray -

Thx David - I know this, GOD is BIGGER than all our needs put together ----- ever notice how its not difficult for us to pray for one hundred dollars to come in , but we hesitate to pray for the thousand ! May HE enlarge our vision - after all , its for HIS CAUSE -------

Dear David..This is such an over whelming post and I don't even know what to say to you because I haven't even had such hard trials as you have!
I just don't know what to say, but that you are such a precious family!
I just wish that you will be able to stay where you are.
After all you are using everything you own for the Lord and He does know that!

Oh David, this is such a burden!
I will not say that the only thing I can do is pray because the word "only" should not even be in the same sentence as the word pray!!..........Terry

Do you have only one a pastor in the Gospel Chapel David?
I think that if you do then the Lord will put in the right man!

Yes, He indeed knows our needs.
He feeds the sparrows and the clothes the lillies on the fields.
I'm praying for all of you, for your pfysical and spiritual needs to be solved.
God bless.

I love those Bible shelves...I see we're not the only ones who keep quite a collection, although most of ours came from the Salvation Army, thrift stores, and garbages...
I'm keeping you and our family in prayer, Mr. Fisher. Have you found that bank paper, yet? I also pray for your ministry...I still am encouraged when I read of the work youve done. I may never know what good mine does, but I guess that's why I have to walk by faith, right?!
