I'm Back

Wow! I'm back and I just checked Pilgrim Pals! You've really picked up on this novel idea of posting prayer requests and strawberry socials on this blog!

We're already seeing answers to prayer...like home churches being found in Ottawa, or Kanata to be exact. We're so happy for you, Julie!

Please be in fervent prayer for us regarding our financial uncertainties! We continue to pack up our "stuff" and move some to storage, give away other things and get some things ready for another garage sale! Carol and Victoria (our granddaughter) took two van loads of "stuff" to our storage unit today while the boys and I were away.

Seeing an ever-increasingly empty home (is that proper grammar?)gives me stomach pains as I contemplate what will have to happen if that "monetary miracle" doesn't take place. If God ordains that we move on then I will have to accept His will and recognize His sovereignty. It doesn't make it any easier as we "rocket" toward the seemingly inevitable. Thanks for praying for the Fisher family during these uncertain days! We value your support so very much!

Let's keep praying for one another, bearing one another's burdens and watching God move in wonderful ways! He is worthy of our praise!

Grateful to God for YOU!

The Pilgrim
P. S. We continue to be reminded that God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. He does provide!

Wow ------ I can't imagine the feelings U and Carol and the kids must be having --- I have read like U David of how God met needs - we experienced that for ourselfs many times - so why dosen't HE answer now ? I know this - HE CAN ANSWER and HIS path for U is being revealed daily - even so Lord , THY WILL BE DONE -- the same for me brother David - the same for me - my wife keeps telling me , IN HIS TIME -- but like U - WE BELIEVE GOD CARES AND CAN DO THE IMPOSSIBLE - so away with doubt! we cry as we raise HIS BANNER -

this is always the scary part of faith ... we throw ourselves on the mercy of our God - then fear grips, when we don't quite know what we got ourselves into ...

" Lord may the Fisher family experience Your sweet faithfulness and be a witness to those who watch ... in Jesus name"

YES LORD - I agree with Saija - praying much for David and Carol -
THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN COME ACROSS DAVID AND CAROL'S LIFE that is not allowed by YOU - but we are told by YOU to pray for one another - may doubt/depression and the devil be defeated AND The Love of God cover them as a warm blanket tonight --

Dear David...It is so nice that you are back in the neighborhood and we all agree in this prayer for you and we KNOW that he owns the cattle on a thousand hills!
Funny, when we used to sing this in Sunday School, we barely understood WHAT we were singing but now as adult children of God, we just cling to those words!!...Love from Pilgrim Pal Terry

Dear David,

I am praying the Lord gives you exactly what you need in this uncertain time. May He cover you with graces beyond your expectations. He is your Shelter against the storms the Enemy throws your way - great is He that is in you, then he who is in the world! Thank you Jesus for protecting our brother in the faith.

Dear Mr. Fisher,

My stomach knots up just reading your post...what a difficult time it must be! I for you that poem prayer I sent you before...God's peace to cover you, Joy to be your strength, Wisdom to power you for every decision you make...

I heard that phrase for the first time on your blog concerning the cows on the hills, and then heard it again twice about a month later, at 2 different places, from 2 different speakers! Every time I glanced at my sister, and she smiled back. I said, "Is that person reading the Pilgrim's blog, is that a common saying we've just never heard, or what?!" :)

Just this morning I was thinking of the Lord's goodness...How He has cared for me all these years...brought me from having a dark and bleak future when I had so little as a toddler, and provided for my loving parents a wonderful home, and lots of siblings. And he brought me far from the city I was born in with all its problems and racial tension, and put me here in Montreal...and every time I think about all that my hometown has seen sice I left it, I have to thank God. Why, it was destroyed by a natural disaster while I was safe up here! I even saw the apartments I'd lived in on TV--levelled! We never know what plns God has for us, but in the end we always know they are the best..."For I know the plans I have toward you, plans to give you a future and a hope...For My thoughts are not your thoughts, saith the Lord...And we know that all things work together for good to them that love the Lord, to them who are the called according to His purpose..."

Praying without ceasing,
The lil Pilgrim Pal
