We are so prone to plan our future and then ask God to give His stamp of approval. When the outcome doesn't match our plans, we complain. We question God's wisdom.
On the other side of the coin is the man who sits back and does nothing and expects God to map out his course and then walk the pilgrimage for him.
Ideally, we need to work in tandem with God for it's Him who works within us both to WILL and to DO of His good pleasure. He works out His plan in our lives but wants us to at least co-operate and trust His heart in the matter.
Father, today, as I submit to Your will and Your way, may I rest in the assurance that You know what's best! As I face an uncertain future, may I be reminded that You know the end from the beginning and, as for God, Your way is perfect (Psalm 18:30). Thank you for the peace You give as we trust you and keep our hearts stayed on you. (Isaiah 26:3). AMEN!

My thoughts go back to Abram, when God called him "out" He was secure, settled, prosperous, and God moved him -- not only moved him, but to a place of another tongue, cultures - not an easy thing am sure ------
The old tune "Trust and Obey"
