Our 2nd birth is of divine origin, supernatural in quality and according to the Word , created by "faith" in what God said, and what God did. HE also said, that "this" faith is fed by the Word of God. Writings by men enthuse us , thrill us, helps inform us but it does not "build" the type of "faith" that is pleasing to God and is necessary for our healthy spiritual well being.
Thats what this post is about -- OUR HEALTHY SPIRITUAL WELL BEING -- we have God's recipe for a balanced Christian life and all of it is found in and thru the Word.

Okay, Mrs. Shirkie, for your information, I think that the Canadians treated the NYers excellently. Oh, I was so sorry to see them leave! The 4 hours flew by so fast, and for the first time in my adult life I actually felt a little emotional inside about telling them good-bye. My siblings don't have Christian friends their age, except for this family...well, my youngest sister does, but the only families we know either have very young children or they are a little older than me! And it is so funny to watch them all interact together...I could watch two in particular all day, they are just so funny ;) And then a good friend of ours showed up with his daughter, so we welcomed them in, too! They didn't stay for long...but you should have heard his 9 year-old say to the 13 year-old NYer, "You came ALL the way from New York?!", to which came the reply, "We ONLY live 8 minutes from Canada!" I tried my best to supress a little laugh...she IS only 9, after all! Plus she's been a little sister to me since she was 5, and we've helped her out a lot with growing up and being around a family, as she is an only child with a single dad, who gets to see her mom on occasion, and that has been a bad experience lately, too.
