It has a 12X zoom lens and a 2 1/2 inch display screen. I love it. There's a newer one that's 8.1 megapixels with a 15X zoom and a 3" display. If I was getting a new one, that's what I'd get.

You got it too soon and then I got mine too soon..because I agree with you if I was going to get a new one that 8.1 with the 15X zoom sure looks tempting!

Thank you very much for responding. You just might suceed in changing my mind from spending a fortune on a Nikon D70 or Canon Rebel XT...by the way, I rarely spend money on myself, and certainly whenever I need anything expensive:shoes, skates, bicycle, etc., I've always usd my brithday/Christmas money from my generous grandparents....And it's also a good thing I never do anything rash without thinking it through, so this purchase will definitely be the best for the price and value.
Today my sister and I passed a car with a Chrsitian fish on it...not a common sight.
me: Has that car always been here?
sister: I don't know.
me: Oh, look the liscense plate is from QC, but the car is from Peterborough. WAIT! (I stop dead in my tracks)THE CAR IS FROM PETERBOROUGH!
