Like Julie LM is feeling slightly panicky today, I definitely am feeling panicky today. Pilot Dad just keeps going downhill. I called and got him in to see the doctor (general practitioner) today only because she was the only one who could see him today. I have a call into his oncologist who is full till the end of the month. However, I explained the situation to his nurse and she is going to talk with the doctor and hopefully, the doctor will say, "Work him in today or tomorrow (Thursday or Friday)." How I pray he will see PD this week.
The GP doctor ordered blood work and will have results sent to Dr. H, the oncologist, also. The problem is Jim is running a fever. We have no idea how high because his body can't "manifest" the fever. If it shows up on a thermometer at 99º or 100º it really means that his fever is probably more like 102º. The radiology has messed so much of his body up. And, since he has no lymph nodes nor tonsils, which our bodies would normally gather around to help fight off infection, he is just a walking time bomb.
He looks terrible. So ill. And he feels so bad. No energy, achy all over, his tongue keeps getting worse, joints are hurting all over, etc. His color is so grey. He is a skeleton walking around with a belt on to hold up his clothes.
1) Dr. H will work PD into his schedule today (Thursday) or Friday.
2) An accurate diagnosis can be made
3) That the treatment plan would begin to work quickly
4) That PD would respond quickly to the treatment
5) That PD's life would be preserved
I have no idea when I'll be able to get back on to post but will try to keep everyone updated on any progress that is made.
Oh, also, pray that I will remain glued to our Lord and Savior, resting in His peace. May I respond to any nudging of His Spirit to respond in anyway that is needed to protect PD.
Thank you all so much for your faithfulness to pray.
And, I REJOICE along with everyone else that Arlene is out of the hospital! Yea!!! Praise Him!
Firmly in His Grip!
