Tuesday Thoughts

Dear Pilgrim Pals, thanks for carrying on our site so admirably while I'm gone! What a blessed fellowship of special friends! You have enriched me greatly! Each day I can't wait to log on and see what you've posted and to pray for your needs...which are many!

Be encouraged today, dear ones!

What a small world! On Sunday our son Matthew met another young boy who is staying here at Elim Lodge.

When I asked Caleb what his last name was he replied, "Voskamp". I mentioned to him that I check out a web site almost daily that is written by a "Voskamp". He asked if her name was "Ann" and when I responded in the affirmative he said, "that's my mom!"

I have recommended this blog in the past. Please check it out. It's entitled "Holy Experience" and you can find it at: http://www.holyexperience.blogspot.com

Keep up the great work, my friends. Keep PRAYING, AFFIRMING, LOVING & SERVING!

The Pilgrim,

David

Note: The picture at the top of this post was borrowed from Holy Experience as was the lower photo of Caleb (left) and his brother Joshua. Wonderful biblical names!

Ann's blog is full of grace! I love it! Be blessed today, David and all Pals.

My bronchitis is gone, for the most part--only a lingering cough. Thanks for those prayers...

Hubby, who is a bit more than 2 months postop from his open heart surgery, is now back at work. Praising God for this!

I am struggling over some very personal issues that God hasn't given me liberty to share, but as you pray, I trust the Holy Spirit will intercede. THANK YOU.

Not able to log in and post anything,so I will just leave this for now. God bless you all!

I, too, cannot log in and post. It says that the email acct no longer exists. :(

So, I will post here in the comments! You know, you can't keep a woman from getting her 50,000+ words a day in! *wink* grin*

Jim began work last night and he only worked 4 hours. He did very well. I really wonder how much work was accomplished by anyone because he said he had a steady stream of people coming up and welcoming him back. ;)

Today he has his appt with his oncologist. We are getting around so we can leave shortly for that.

Thank you all for your prayers for his continuing recovery. He isn't on solid food all the time, yet. But hopefully, in a few weeks I will be back cooking our regular meals. He is trying to eat but until those taste buds return he will continue to supplement through the feed tube. :) Praise the Lord for modern medicine!!

Hello, Pals!

Mr.Fisher, my sister is sure that we'll just run into you one day...hope we won't be running too fast, because you'll never catch my sister when she's running ;)

Vicki, I am happy to hear about you and your husband's health. I will be praying for you for your issues. Thank you for your kind words last night...we don't know for sure that we can't go camping-- we always go in the fall when "nobody else" does, and we spend a day in Ottawa, and 2 days on our bikes and on foot as we explore the campgounds and photograph God's beautiful creation.

Pilot-Mom, I'm glad to hear your husband is doing better, too.

God bless you all,
LPP

Hebrews 11:1 and prayingsensfaninmontreal:

You can run into me on October 1st, 2nd or 3rd. I'll be at the HMI Staff Conference which will be held in downtown Montreal this year. We'll be staying at and having our sessions at the Chateau Champlain.

It sure would be great to meet you!

Lots of love,

David
