No Weeds In the Father's Eyes

This morning our guest speaker at Auburn Bible Chapel, Carlo Raponi, played an audio clip by a former band called Five Iron Frenzy. Basically what the lyrics were saying was that when we see dandelions, God sees flowers. We see weeds, God sees beauty.

Remember, you are NOT a weed in the Father's eyes!

Here are those lyrics:

In a field of yellow flowers,
underneath the sun:
bluest eyes that spark with lightning,
boy with shoes undone.
He is young, so full of hope;
reveling in tiny dreams;
filling up his arms with flowers,
right for giving any queen.
Running to her beaming bright
while cradling his prize;
A flickering of yellow light
within his mother's eyes;
She holds them to her heart,
keeping them where they'll be safe;
clasped within her very marrow,
dandelions in a vase.
She sees love, where anyone else would see weeds.
all hope is found. Here is everything he needs.
Gently lifting hands to heaven,
softened by the sweetest hush,
a Father sings over his children,
loving them so very much.
More than words could warrant,
deeper than the darkest blue,
more than sacrifice could merit,
Lord, I give my heart to you.

Dear David...I have always loved dandelions because they are usually the first sign of spring and just the sight of them fills me with the hope of summer!..Terry

And I have always loved dandelions because it was the first "flower" which toddler Pilot brought home to me from a walk with his dad! ;)

When I drove truck thru upper Vermont along the Canadian border, the rumble of the engine, the smell of the spring time air, rich green hills covered with yellow dandelions used to put me asleep and I would have to "pull" over and sleep for a half hour -- lol -
Hmm, how many more stories of dandelions , David --

Oh Pilot-mom...And what a treasure it was, eh?
Whenever the Sunday School toddlers would give me boquets of these "weeds" , I would promply put them on my hat and in a button hole of my blouse!
Ha!.. Got a few chuckes from the older folks but didn't mind a bit!
The little kids were so happy that I did this so what matter?!!
I was even seen quite often wearing a garland of blue clover flowers too. on those nice sping Sunday School days.. Oh the gloriousness of it all!!...Love Terry

Genesis 30:14
And Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest, and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them unto his mother Leah.

Pilot-mom...YOUR son brought YOU "mandrakes " too!!
So sweet!

Terry, I know you are the best Sunday School teacher on the planet! The children couldn't help but love a teacher who proudly wore her gifts from her students! :D
