Dedicated To Hebrews And Little Missionary Julie

Lil Pilgrim,
This week as Gracey and I and Mom were unpacking Mom Golden's belongings, she came across the "Promise Bible" that you had mailed to Dad Golden and it was such a comfort to her.
Every so often I would catch her with her head into that tiny book.
Tiny...Yes! But with a huge comfort to her!
This evening in prayer meeting she had her head into that book again, so when nobody was looking, I took my tiny camera out of my purse and snapped a quick photo of her as she sat beside me..
After she had looked a little while at that tiny book, she whispered into my ear, "I think that I will give this book to Lori...It has been such a help to me!"
She signed the book and after meeting she DID give it to Lori.
Now Lori is a young mother in the assembly whose husband was taken quite ill three weeks ago.
He has kidney trouble and the doctors still don't know what is causing it.
He is on dialysis and is in the Macmaster Hospital in Hamilton.
His name is Darren Kucman, if you would like to pray for him.
Anyways, I said to Mom..."That is Dad's book Mom!"
I will have to ask my friend Hebrews to send me another one!"
"OK", she said..
So what do you think of that Lil Pilgrim?
Look at all the people that you are encouraging!!
You are a very precious person to so many and you don't even know it!!

Here is the picture of the tiny Promise Book as I laid it on my bible and sneakily took a picture.
It is a little blurry but like I said, I had to do it sneakily and quickly!

And here is Mom Golden as she buries her head into the book to read it!

The hymn we sang tonight was so beautiful..
Here it is Hebrews and Little Missionary, Julie...

He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater
He sendeth more strength when the labours increase,
To added affliction, He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace.

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When strength has declined ere the day is half-done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources,
Our Father's full giving is only begun.

His love has no limit,His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men,
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth and giveth and giveth again.

Oh, Mrs. Shirkie, dearest Mrs. Shirkie....

You are SO kind! And I am SO glad that you got your birthday card, because I was worried I didn't put enough postage for that magnet :)

Oh, I am also ever so thankful that your mom was blessed by God through that little book, and that she was able to bless someone else. Of course I can send another one...or two, or more! I bought a stack of them from the bookstore, and I got a real good deal, too!

I felt a little better when I got up this morning...I got up early with something special in mind. I ran outside after reading my Bible, praying, and writing a short note, and picked some flowers, curled and tied a ribbon around it, added a scripture card, and ran down the street before "anyone" could see me, and placed the bouquet on the threshhold of her door...and then I ran home. I got all choked up when I got to the bottowm my street and turned the corner...I saw her place, her garden--it all came rushing back. I trembled a little when I walked up her steps for the first time in my life, and I was choked up when I left, too, but I felt better when I got home. Don't tell anybody ;) I just hope she got them, and the junk-mail deliverer didn't take them!

Thank you for your prayers, your thoughtfulness, and your kindness. I truly am blessed... Thank you, Jesus!!!

You know what Passing-thru?
I think that we are ALL encouragers!
God really knows that I needed it myself for the last three weeks.

Just so good that we are all not down at the same time, eh?

That is what Pilgrim Pals is all about..to encourage each other and walk the road together..praising the Lord!

I must say it again...God bless David Fisher for creating this oasis in the desert for us!!
...Love Terry

PS.. Just think that Little Missionary Julie and Hebrews were such an encouragement to me the last while and here they are in need of some!!
They are BOTH a huge plus to the Pals..

One other thing...
That hymn-- we used to listen to a CD at night (my parents ahve raised us on resting/sleeping/napping with instrumental praise/classical music) called Quiet Streams. "He giveth more grace" was one of my favorite songs on there. I typed it up one day and figured it out on the piano, and every so often, one or other will request it during our time of worship....

Thank you for bringing i back to my remembrance. I think I recall singing it A LOT when i went through some tough times at age 13.

I am laughing and laughing, now! How DID I know? Maybe we (her and I) should keep our encrypted messages a secret. She didn't tell me WHEN your birthday was, but simply, "before the heavens I was there..." I forget the rest...look up the verse, Mrs. Shirkie ;)

You would never believe what I found? The sun just came out...oh, I found a Sony h7 for $395, and he only used it once, he bought it 10 days ago, and still has the receipt, and he lives about 5 minutes from me...So now ihave to pray for God's wisom and decisiveness, because nothing I've ever bought or asked for has cost that much-- nothing in my life! I am determined to buy my camera with my money, so I have to get the best deal, and this is the best yet!

btw, my parents are at the clinic as I type...I pray we will receive good news. I am trying not to think about it...but I almost wish they ould find out for sure whether or not it is Crohn's because he lost a lot of weight the past 2 years, and I think his current weight is very light....almost too light.
