Prayer is asking for the rain -
Faith is carrying the umbrella.
Have you asked for the "rain"? Have you got your "umbrella" open and ready for the rain, or are you waiting for the rain to start falling before you go get your umbrella?
God has put this thought in my heart today...it is something that I need to look at in my life right now and I've been led to share it with all of you.
Some food for thought today!

Hey I never did like to use an umbrella..
I love the rain just pouring all over me and I wouldn't mind those showers of blessings pouring on me either!!

Hmmmm, good thought Julie. I so often pray and not only do not carry the umbrella but I am usually thinking while praying "no use carrying the umbrella 'cause God won't answer that prayer - this is sort of what I was getting at one my little post yesterday about prayer. My lack of faith is the result of many, many disappointments and betrayals - amazingly I still pray!! I guess that is actually showing some faith now that I think of it! I keep saying I have no faith God answers prayer and yet I keep praying - ha - I never thought of that before - that shows my faith I guess.

Oh, I like this one...although I'm one of those crazy young people who go around WITHOUT UMBRELLA NOR JACKET all summer, and never an umbrella spring or fall....much to the utter disapproval of my mom!
