I'm A Travelin' Man

Dear Pals:

Just wanted to give you a brief update on my journey! I didn't get as far as I wanted to last night because I was just too tired. Buffalo, NY was my resting place and I drove to Erie, PA this morning where I had breakfast at Cracker Barrel, one of my favorite spots.

I've just checked in to the Best Western in Grove City, PA (see photo) about an hour north of Pittsburgh. I'll freshen up and then drive down to the ballpark. It's been raining on and off all day so I don't know if they'll get the game in or not. Regardless, I'll meet with Gabe and enjoy the warm, Christian fellowship.

Tomorrow I'll drive all the way home so I'll value your prayers. Thanks for your love, dear friends!

In His care,

David
P. S. The funeral went well yesterday. My friend, Gordon Groves, whose dad passed away, celebrated his 62nd birthday on the day of his dad's funeral. He led in prayer and did a wonderful job. Please pray for Gordon.
Also, I discovered (by looking through the guest book) that there's a connection between one of our PILGRIM PALS and the Groves family. Apparently Laura Mae's mother is related (Darling, Westlake families). Please clarify if you read this, Laura Mae.
Love you all!

Hey, Pals! Can someone please post this? Thank you.

I'm just getting on here quick to ask for prayer...I mentioned earlier this week that a friend asked me to do some computer gphics work for gifts he is giving to Jewish friends for Rosh Hashanah. He wrote a very powerful line for me to put on a card for him...Anyway, Satan does not want this to be so easy, and I can't find the cellophane I promised my friend that the gifts will be wrapped in AND the cards won't print!!! I am getting a BLACK card instead of the colorful one I have on my screen! Please pray that I can find the cello (it is somewherein this office!) and that God will give me wisdom in printing this stuff...it is to be picked up this evening!!

Thank you for your prayers...I'm getting back to work now.

God bless you,
LPP

Hello, Pilgrim!

I feel bad that I'm the ONLY one commenting here, and the first two were not even comments for you!

But I just had to write you and tell you what an ignorant person I am...for some reason I thought Gabe played for Pittsburgh since you go down there to watch him...and this morning my sister said, "WHY does he wear an M on his hat, silly?!" So, now I like the Brewers for the first time in my life...all because my dad works with a company in Milwaukee and, of course, because of Gabe Gross.

My sister is still laughing (I imagine!), and my face is still red...so embaressed am I :)

God bless you, your trip, and your time there,
LPP

David,

Yes, Les' wife Lila is somehow related to my Grandma Darling (mom's mom) who was a Westlake.
