The Hoses Are Still Working

Dear Pilgrim Pals:

Just a brief update on what's been happening the last few days. The home care nurse has been coming each morning around 9:30 to administer the gravity dose of intravenous and change the dosage that is being pumped into me 24/7. All these antibiotics are draining me physically. Every day I take a few naps. I have no energy whatsoever.

Tonight three men came to help us move a number of shelves, filing cabinets, etc. to our storage unit. We certainly appreciated the help because I'm not supposed to lift anything. I didn't!

I've almost finished the feature article for Sports Spectrum magazine. Now I just have to get out my editor's knife and chop the word count from 2400 to 1900. Should be fun! The deadline is Friday. I'll try to finish it off tomorrow.

Please pray for strength for Carol, me and the whole family. On Saturday we go out to
Elim Lodge where we've rented a cottage for a week. I pray (you pray too, please) that we will actually rest and relax for a change.

What a joy to see the response we're getting to PILGRIM PALS! It's so encouraging!

One final word of encouragement to a very special lady...Terry!

"Be encouraged, dear friend! You have been such a blessing to so many of us. We hurt when you hurt. We will continue to trust God for Dad Golden's salvation and for a positive outcome concerning the housing problem your mom and dad are encountering. We love you very much, Terry! Never forget that!

I'm off to work now, friends!

Good night! Rest in the Father's tender care!

David

David, may you and Carol have a wonderful week coming up. Praying strength and restoration for you, body, heart and soul. Blessings on your weekend!

Terry, may the grace of God, the power of His Holy Spirit, and His matchless love be your sustenance during this time. You are loved with an everlasting love; you have been drawn with lovingkindness! Press into Him, my sweetest sister, and the cares of this world will become strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.

It's a privilege to pray.
God bless you all.
